(audience cheers) (Doug presses button revealing Round 1 questions
on the toaster)

Doug: David, you won the right to go first.  I have two questions
here.  Would you like A or B?

David: I pick B.

 

 

Doug: (grabs B)  He picks B and we're off and running.  Actually
-- before we really commence, we should note Shawn Wells is 
hosting a new show here on VBS -- Press Your Fortune.  It's a 
hybrid of "Press Your Luck" and "Wheel of Fortune".  So with
that clarified, here's the question.

The whammy from Press Your Fortune said, "Man, it's a tough 
economy out there.  Instead of stealing people's money, I've 
resorted to stealing their << BLANK >>."

(audience laughs) (think music plays) 

 

(stars write)

Doug: All right, we're waiting on Andres to get in there.

 

(buzz buzz)

Doug: OK, no answer in time.  David, chance to win up to CY$500.

The whammy from Press Your Fortune said, "Man, it's a tough 
economy out there.  Instead of stealing people's money, I've 
resorted to stealing their << BLANK >>."

David: Homes

(a few applaud; most groan)

Doug: Whammy stealing their homes.  Him and what army?  (a few
laughs from the crowd)  I would think the whamster would look
for something easier, smaller and lighter.  Troy, what did you
think of.

Troy: Well, first, I thought the Whammy might be wanting to steal Flokati
rugs or men's fur coats... but I thought he'd go for something more
valuable -- [ CREDIT SCORES ]

(buzz) (audience applause)

Doug: There ya go.  That's a bit sensible.  Chad, what came to
your mind?

Chad: Awww.  Rough economy indeed.

[FORECLOSURE 
NOTICES]  

(buzz) (smattering of applause)

Doug: Not quite the same as stealing homes.  The foreclosure notices
are closer to paperwork than they are actual homes.  Matt, what
came to your mind?

Matt: Poor whammy.  It's tough out there for all of us.  He's going 
to steal their FOOD STAMPS.

(buzz)  (audience laughs and applauds)

Doug: Great answer -- but no match as we visit Ryan.  The whammy 
from Press Your Fortune said, "Man, it's a tough economy out there. 
Instead of stealing people's money, I've resorted to stealing 
their ..."

Ryan: This was a hard one... All I could think of was...

is at least along the lines of Matt's answer.  Shawn, tell us what
the whammy's really stealing in this lousy economy?

Shawn: Well since he already has all of the money, now he's 
going after the prizes...I actually saw the Whammy the other
 day carrying a.... << FLOKATI RUG >>

(buzz)  (audience laughs and applauds)

Doug: Proves the more things change, the more they stay the same.
