MG Round 3 Question B

Doug: We're back for more of the Net Bullseye - Hollywood Connection
Hour.

(audience laughs) (Doug presses button revealing Round 3 questions
on the toaster)

Doug: OK, final round. Brian, you still lead 300 to 0. You get
to pick A or B.

Brian: I'll go back to B.

Doug: (grabs B; walks to panel) Trying B here. And trying B with
you are....

Doug: ...the folks on the top row.

Pat Sajak said, "Wow, 'Wheel of Fortune' must be way over budget.
Now, every other space on the wheel is a << BLANK >>."

(think music plays)

Doug: All right, they're all set. Question once again.

Pat Sajak said, "Wow, 'Wheel of Fortune' must be way over budget.
Now, every other space on the wheel is a << BLANK >>.

Brian: How about a $5,000 space.

(loud groans from the crowd)

Doug: Me thinks you misunderstood the question. See, Pat took
a look at the wheel and immediately thought the show's prize
budget was hurtin'. So, that means they need to play for lower
stakes. And what better way to lower the stakes than to have
every other space marked...? Show 'em Troy.

Troy: This would make the show go back on budget, but it'd give
the sound effects guy a heart attack -- I said | BANKRUPT |.

(buzz) (audience cheers)

Doug: Get the drift now? Mark every other space "bankrupt" and
the show becomes a tightwad. Chad?

Chad: Bweeeeeoooooo.

[BANKRUPT]

(buzz) (more cheers)

Doug: Another bankrupt. And Nolan?

Nolan: This question answers itself.

*flip of the card*

BANKRUPT!

(buzz) (more cheers)

Doug: Well, there was your definitive answer.

BANKRUPT | BANKRUPT | BANKRUPT
(match in R1) | (match in R1) | (match in R1)

Brian's response: $5000 SPACE

Doug: Chad, a chance to kick Brian's croquet ball into the bushes.
Match at least three stars and you'll either clinch a tie or win.
Match less than three -- and Brian goes to the squares.
