(audience cheers) (Doug presses button revealing Round 1 questions
on the toaster)

Doug: Steve you won the right to go first.  A or B?

Steve: A, please.

 

 

Doug: (grabs A) A it is and away we go.  (walks to panel)  Sam's 
town is really small. 

Audience: (not quite in unison) How small is it?

Doug: Geez, that was pathetic.  (light laughter from the crowd)

Sam's town is really small.  On Friday nights, all people do there 
for fun is go to << BLANK >>.

Jay: Tough one Doug...even for a round 1 question!

Doug: Hey, it's Round 1.  What do you expect?

 

 

 

 

 
Doug: OK, we're all set.  Steve, here's the question again...

Sam's town is really small.  On Friday nights, all people do there 
for fun is go to << BLANK >>.

Steve: Man...can I get B instead? 

Doug: Mmmm, too late to change.

Steve: Uhm...I'll say "bed".

(a few laughs; some applause)

Doug: Go to bed.  Interesting answer.  Let's see if we get a few
beds starting with Troy.

Troy: Sam's Town?  As in the casino?

Doug: Heh, I wish!

Troy: Anyway, I know what I did when I lived in Jonesboro...
we went to WAL-MART.

(buzz) (scattered applause)

Doug: That was my answer.  Jay, what say thee?

Jay: 10 years...I believe this makes 'NMGHSH the 2nd 'Netgame 
to make it the decade. (audience cheers)  Can't remember the name 
of that other little show.

(audience laughs) 

Doug: Hmmm... neither can I.  (more laughs)

Jay: Anyway, to the question at hand. It's where I like to go for fun...

Will: There's actually a lot of possibilities for this, but
being from a small town, I know that you'd have to go to:

(audience laughs)  (buzz)

Doug: Admit, we've been all guilty of that.  Over to Ryan -- and
ya know, a brisk round of applause is in order for Ryan.  (audience
cheers)  He started NMG-HSH with Charlie Pevey way back when and I've
been co-hosting since we relaunched the show.  It's been a true thrill.

Now to the question again.  Sam's town is really small.  On Friday 
nights, all people do there for fun is go to << BLANK >>.  Steve said
"bed".  What did you say?

Ryan: Well, Doug, I'm going to start Our 10th Anniversary Year 
with a very, boring, wrong answer....

Doug: Now now now!  It's not nice to boo a founding father of a
net game.  (light laughter from the crowd)  Tim, first time on the
panel.  What'cha got for us?

Tim: Well, from what I gather, small towns are a very religious 
bunch, so I would figure that these guys would get their kicks 
by going to *CHURCH.* 

(buzz) (smattering of applause)

Doug: Logical answer.  And Alan, what say ye?

Alan: Well, I have driven through many small towns in my life 
and usually only see a gas station and a bar. But since Sam's 
town must be even smaller the only thing people can do for fun 
is go to.............
