MG solitaireMATCH

Doug: OK, Josh, you've already won the game and CY$500. Now, we need

to blow a fuse here.

(lights go out on Josh's desk as Doug presses the button revealing

two new questions)

Doug: And now, for the first half of this bonus game -- the Solitaire

Match round -- for lack of a better name. This portion of the game

play just like the main game. This time, *you* get to pick A or B.

And then I'll give you and the stars the question. Here in this

round, we'll pay you CY$100 for each celebrity you match -- and we'll

add CY$1000 to the Head-To-Head Match bank. Rack up a perfect score

and it's a total of CY$1000 for you and CY$10,000 in the bank for

the Head-To-Head Match. (audience cheers) So, what's your pleasure?

A or B?

Josh: I'll be choosing B for "Boy, am I lucky!"

Doug: (grabs B; walks to panel) Yeah, you did get a lucky break --

playing one question and have it be enough for a win. Stars, here's

the assignment...

Trixie said, "It's not easy dating Speed Racer. Whenever we're together

alone, he always yells '<< BLANK! >>'"

(MG '7x wank think music plays)

Doug: OK, Josh, we're ready. Let's see if you are.

Trixie said, "It's not easy dating Speed Racer. Whenever we're together

alone, he always yells '<< BLANK! >>'"

Josh: Now, before the audience boos me too badly, please note that I am

one of probably 10 people in the U.S. to have never seen an episode of

Speed Racer ever. With that having been said, my answer is highly generic

and what I think an over-enthusiastic race car driver would say in this

situation (gee, doesn't this sound like a Brett Somers explanation for a

rotten answer?) "Floor it!" (cringes, anticipating the audience's response)

(crowd boos)

Doug: The bad news is I don't think you'll score any matches. The good

news is if that's the case I'll let you play this other question that's

been set aside for this bonus game. But still, let's go through the

motions and see if "floor it" came to mind. Starting with Tom and Frank.

Tom: It didn't do Trixie's ego any good to hear Speed say, "C'mon Sparky!"

Frank: OW!

(buzz) (audience laughs)

Doug: Hmm, not going there. Jay?

Jay: I think your luck ran out with this "bonus" Josh. I have no idea Doug.

Maybe he takes a cue from the theme:

+------+

| GO |

+------+

(buzz) (smattering of applause)

Doug: Yeah, that's what I was thinking. The theme song -- "Go, Speed Racer".

Steve?

Steve: Simple, direct...

[GO!]

(buzz)

Doug: Another "go" as we visit the Ryan Express. Trixie said, "It's not easy

dating Speed Racer. Whenever we're together alone, he always yells..."

Ryan: (shows card)

+=====+

| OH! |

+=====+

(buzz) (audience laughs)

Doug: LOL! Like that one. Dean?

Dean: I've never watched "Speed Racer," Doug. I figure that

he's a fast guy, so I said that he says to his girlfriend...

+-------+

| DONE! |

+-------+

(shrugs)

(buzz)

Doug: And we're almost done with this question. Johnny V?

Johnny V: (card) LetS go!

(buzz)

Doug: Another go. Well...

C'MON SPARKY | GO | GO!
OH! | DONE | LET'S GO!

Josh's response: FLOOR IT
