MG round2questionB
Doug: We're back on the Net Russian Roulette - Pitfall Hour. (audience laughs) Before we start our second round in this special "Where Are They Now?" edition, we want to take time to meet our players. Joe, tell us a little about yourself. Joe: Well, Doug, I live in Montgomery Village, Maryland, and I enjoy coin collecting, television, and furry comics. I also host the popular 'netgame, "The Big Ri$k." Doug: A game I created. Treat it like a lady. And Michael, who probably came up with the answer of the year for this show. A word about yourself. Michael: My name is Michael Clifford. I am from Marlton, New Jersey. I am currently unemployed & I like watching game shows & playing netgames.
Doug: (pushes button on toaster revealing Round 2 questions) Well, we're glad you took time out to play with us. OK, back to Match Game and Round 2. Normally the leader picks first -- but we have a scoreless tie. So, the player who did *not* go first in Round 1 picks first in Round 2. Michael, that would be you. A or B? Michael: B
Doug: (grabs B; walks to panel) B it is. And since we're working on a scoreless tie, all the stars play both questions in this round. And here's the first... Alex Trebek said, "You might not be able to tell it, but I like a lot of action. My favorite movie, is in fact << BLANK >>." (MG '7x changing keys think music plays)
Doug: BTW, Michael, I don't think "Netgame Netgame" is going to score you any points. (audience laughs) But, here's the question one more time... Alex Trebek said, "You might not be able to tell it, but I like a lot of action. My favorite movie, is in fact << BLANK >>." Michael: Double Jeopardy (audience applause) Doug: *Very* logical answer. Let's see if our classic stars and our regulars thought along those lines. Troy, we start with you. Troy: A question where my days in college working at "a national video store chain that isn't Blockbuster" come in handy... a great... er, decent... OK, adequate thriller/action film starring Ashley Judd and Tommy Lee Jones from 1999... (card) [["Double Jeopardy"]] (ding; audience applause) Doug: There's a match for Michael. BTW, I'd be in remiss if I didn't mention for each star a player matches, we pay CY$100 or CY$1000 for matching everyone. So, already Michael's 100 in the black. Jay, do you make it 200? Jay: What is... +----------+ | DOUBLE | | JEOPARDY | +----------+ (ding; audience applause) Doug: That's correct and you're today's champion with a total of 20-grand. (audience laughs) Mark, you didn't have to phrase your response in question form. But, I'll ask, "Did you say 'Double Jeopardy'?" Mark: Having met Michael at GSC-11, I would hope he would he would come up with (flip) Double Jeopardy (ding; audience applause) Doug: And he's on a roll folks. Three-for-three as we come down to Ryan. Alex Trebek said, "You might not be able to tell it, but I like a lot of action. My favorite movie, is in fact << BLANK >>." Ryan: There is only one answer. And, I will fight anybody who thinks otherwise... [Double Jeopardy] (ding; audience applause) Doug: That's four matches and 400 for Michael. To the best of my knowledge, only one player's matched all the stars on one question. You could be the second as we visit Josh. Josh: Well, some say Alex is a bit of a jerk sometimes, especially with his attitude towards other game shows and personalities, so I'm gonna say his favorite movie, as a little more irony, is "The Running Man" with Richard Dawson. (buzz) (audience groans) (Ryan makes a fist) Doug: Uh oh, no match, no sweep and we may have a Jerry Springer moment. Nick, restore some peace, please! Nick: You know, sititng in this seat I feel like I'm the Patti Deustch of this panel... (puts on red-head wig, imitates PD) Considering the dry person he is, and how much he drinks on occassion, so I thought he would like that big-budget action thriller.... "Bambi". (buzz) (audience laughs and applauds) Doug: Yeah, I guess we're *all* entitled to a Patti moment after the show. Let's review...
DOUBLE JEOPARDY | DOUBLE JEOPARDY | DOUBLE JEOPARDY
DOUBLE JEOPARDY | THE RUNNING MAN | BAMBIMichael's response: DOUBLE JEOPARDY
Doug: Well, four out of six ain't bad. Joe, let's see if we can get you on the board here.MG ROUND 2 CONTINUES
