MG round1questionA

Doug: Remember, the idea is to match more celebrities than your
opponent. Do that and you'll join us on the next show to
play Hollywood Squares to play against Jay Cross for the
championship. Joe, I have two questions labeled A and B. Since
you won the right to go first, you get to pick first. So, A or B?

Joe: Glad to be here, Doug. Let’s get rolling with "A."

Doug: (grabs A; walks to panel) A it is and we're off and running.
New game, so all the stars play...

ABC just cancelled their updated version of "Dragnet". So, now
they're going to try an updated version of "The Streets of San
Francisco". In the first episode of the new series, guest star
Carrot Top is arrested for << BLANKING >> on the streets of San
Francisco.

Doug: OK, Joe, they're all set. Here's the question again...

ABC just cancelled their updated version of "Dragnet". So, now
they're going to try an updated version of "The Streets of San
Francisco". In the first episode of the new series, guest star
Carrot Top is arrested for << BLANKING >> on the streets of San
Francisco.

Joe: I would have to say...camping.

(audience boos)

Doug: Camping on the streets of San Francisco. Uh, I don't think
Mike Stone would arrest him for that. Of course, Carrot Top would
probably get *run over* on the streets if he camped out in San
Francisco. In any event, we'll go through the motions and start
visiting with Troy for a bit.

Troy: Hey, Doug... a pleasure to be here... the little lever on
my seat doesn't work; I think Jay is sitting up a little taller
than I am.

Doug: We'll get our intern to fix that a little later.

Troy: Anyway... I have to go with "SOLICITATION" (buzz) (*that*
kind or the solicitation of long distance service, whichever is
less painful to think about)." :)

(light laughter)

Doug: (chuckles) Interesting answer, sir. But no match. Over
to Jay.

Jay: Hey Doug, can I get the B-roll of that Finish Line you just
showed? That might be from the lost tapes!

Doug: Sure thing. Pretty cool stuff, I must say.

Jay: Anyway, Mr Top was arrested for

on the street of San Fran. Hello Sailor!!

(buzz)

Doug: Ooooh-kay. Man some wild answers early on. Moving on to
Mark.

Mark: One thing Carrot Top is good at...if you would suggest...
(flip) MUGGING

(buzz)

Doug: Mugging. Another goodie but no one's come to my answer yet.
Over to Ryan as we compare answers on the lower tier. ABC just
cancelled their updated version of "Dragnet". So, now they're
going to try an updated version of "The Streets of San Francisco".
In the first episode of the new series, guest star Carrot Top is
arrested for << BLANKING >> on the streets of San Francisco. And
Joe said "camping". What did you say?

Ryan: I said

(buzz) (smattering of applause)

Doug: That's a logical answer. Josh, your response?

Josh: Hhe's just generally annoying, but he crossed the line into
downright putrid by STREAKing in San Francisco.

(buzz)

Doug: Another streaker. And Nick?

Nick: Well, since we don't have much time, here's my answer... he
was arrested for (pulls out multiple card answer)

"AnnoyING customers who....(throws card)
don't want to hear him pitch...(throws card)
that stupid 1-800-CRAP...(throws card)
and watch the cheesy commercials!"

(audience laughs and applauds) (buzz)

Nick: If only the world can be rid of useless comedians... this world
would be a better place :-)

Doug: Amen, Brother Nicholas! And with that, let's review the answers...

SOLICITATION | SWISHING | MUGGING
STREAKING | STREAKING | ANNOYING...

Joe's Response: CAMPING

Doug: I was thinking Mike Stone would arrest Carrot Top for urinating
on the streets of San Francisco. But anyway, Michael, your turn to
bat.
