MG Tie Breaker

Doug: And we're back. It's tie-breaker time with Tim and Shawn.
Here's how we break the deadlock. Players, if you will look at your
secret screens. Those of you watching us on the web can look on your
monitor at home.
Doug: Our tie-break question is "San << BLANK >>". Tim and Shawn,
below the question, you see four possible answers. You'll each pick
an answer by number. Then I'll canvas the stars to get their responses.
The moment a panelist matches your answer, you immediately win CY$50
and the right to play against Phil Levine for the championship in
Hollywood Squares. Tim, since you went first in Round 1, the rules
state you pick first in the tie-breaker. Please select your answer
by number.

Tim: 1

Doug: All righty. We leave the number 1 lit to indicate your selection.
Shawn, you're left with 2, 3 and 4. Which answer would you like for the
tie-breaker?

Shawn: I will go for #3

Doug: OK, the choices are locked in and cannot be changed. Let's go
to the panel and see what our stars are thinking. Remember, once a
match is made, the game's over and the matched player wins.

(Doug walks to panel)

Doug: Robb, we'll start with you. "San << BLANK >>"

Robb: The city that was the host of the 2001 Spring American Chemical Society
Convention

Doug: And

that

city

would

be

none

other

than

what?

.

.

.

.

Robb: San Diego

Doug: Shawn, you win!! (dings; audience applause; NMG-HSH win music plays)
Wow! What a game. Tim, you may tell our stars what you said.

Tim: San Francisco

Doug: There ya go. It came down to the northern and southern portions of
California -- and SoCal won it for Shawn. FWIW, panel, the other choices
they had to pick from were San Antonio and San Juan. Shawn, come join
me over here. (Tim and Shawn shake hands; Shawn walks to center stage)
Tim, sorry the tie-break didn't go your way. But, you do take home CY$300,
a lot of pride for being in such a close game and this prize from the
ghost of Jay Stewart.

TGoJS: Tim, in addition to you cyber-cash, you've won the new Net
Match Game - Hollywood Squares Hour home version for the Sorny GameStation.
Fill in blanks, make three in a row and go for the big bucks in the
Super Match. The game features the digitized voices of Ryan Morris,
Jay Lewis, Doug Morris and all of VBS's most popular hosts. It's the
NMG-HSH home version for GameStation -- from Sorny. OK, Doug Morris.

Doug: (walks over to shake Tim's hand) There ya go, a home game and 300
to remember us by. Again, thanks for a great round of Match Game. Tim
McClelland, everyone. (audience cheers) (MG podiums are moved stage
left; rest of panelists' desks are wheeled in)
