MG Round 3 Question B

Doug: Shawn, here it is, the last question in Match Game. You'll have
the services of five members of the panel. Match any two of them and
we'll go to a tie-breaker. Match three or more and you win the right
to play Phil Levine for the championship in Hollywood Squares. Anything
less that two matches and Tim goes to the squares.

(Doug grabs B; walks to panel)

Doug: Robb, since you matched Shawn earlier, you do not participate.
But, please be on standby in case the score ends in a tie. As for the
rest of the panel, please respond to this... (looks at card) OK, kids,
looks like you get a second chance...

Dumb Donald is *so* dumb...

Audience as one voice: HOW DUMB IS HE?!?!?!

Doug: ...give yourselves a round of applause. Much better! (audience
cheers) All right, cut! As I was saying, Dumb Donald is so dumb,
when he appeared as a contestant on the TV game show "The Weakest Link",
he << BLANKED >>.

(MG '7x changing keys think music plays) (celebs write answers; Paul
scribbles quickly and slides card in slot)

Paul: (impersonating Brett Somers) I love my answer. (picks up his
glass of club soda and takes a little drink)

Doug: Ryan and I love the idea you only used *one* card this time. :)
(audience laughs and applauds)

Doug: All right Shawn, moment of truth time. Two matches ties. Three
or more wins...

Dumb Donald is so dumb, when he appeared as a contestant on the TV game
show "The Weakest Link", he...

Shawn: he voted against himself

(audience cheers)

Doug: That's dumb all right. Voted himself as the weakest link.
Jay, did you think that's what the dumb one did?

Jay: Before I give the answer Doug. I'd like to make a presentation to
you and Ryan.

Doug: Ooooo, what do you have for us?

Jay: On behalf of 'Net Price is Right, 'Net Match Game & VBS I would like
to present you with this...

(audience cheers)

Jay: Office Depot Gift Certificate in the amount of $1,000,000 so you
never run out of blue cards.

Doug: All right. Ryan (takes check from Jay; hands to Ryan), take
charge of this, please. I'm not sure if I can handle a check with
so many zeroes. (audience laughs) Now, back to the matter at hand.

Jay: For my answer, he

+---------+
| VOTED |
| HIMSELF |
| OUT |
+---------+

Doug: That oughta match...(ding; audience applause) ...and it does.
Shawn's now one match shy of a tie. Chris, do you take us to a tie?

Chris: Dumb Donald.....
+---------------+
|CHAINED HIMSELF|
|TO THE OTHER |
|CONTESTANTS |

on The Weakest Link.

(buzz) (audience laughs)

Doug: A bit too extreme, but I suppose it makes sense. OK, Shawn,
one match from the bottom row matches; two matches wins. Ryan, Dumb
Donald was so dumb, what did he end up doing on "The Weakest Link"?

Ryan: We should have a tie...

+--------------------+
| Voted himself off |
+--------------------+

(ding; audience applause)

Doug: And we do.

Doug: Shawn, one more match sends you to Hollywood Squares...

Andy

do

you

Shawn

Wells

or

Paul

Crabbe's

answer?

Andy: That was a tough one.... I said he.......

CHAINED HIMSELF TO HIS PODIUM !

(audience groans) (buzz)

Doug: Not a match. We're still tied. Paul, you mentioned you loved your answer.
If Shawn loves it, he's off to the squares. Otherwise, we're all off to the
tie-breaker.

So,

for

the

game,

Dumb

Donald

was

*so*

dumb,

what

did

he

do

on

"The

Weakest

Link?"

Paul: I'll keep my answer short dumb donald wasn't sure about somethin',
so he...

Doug: It's a tie, folks!

(matched in R2) | VOTED HIMSELF OUT | CHAINED HIMSELF...
VOTED HIMSELF OUT | CHAINED HIMSELF... | ASKED FOR LIFELINE...

Doug: Well, gang, it's been nip and tuck all the way. When we come
back, we'll break this tie and see who's headed for that O desk in
Hollywood Squares after this.

(audience applauds; MG-HSH music plays)
