Brian finishes this section of the round with 30 points; Andy with 20; Dom, I kept seeing you try and hit that buzzer. Brian just had a hot hand. But fortunes can turn around at the video screen with Deej.

D.J.: OK, Andy, Dom and Brian, in this part of the round, we have the Ace through 9 of every suit behind the numbers. On your possession, you may take up to two consecutive turns at the video screen.

On your first turn, pick any five numbers and we'll reveal the cards behind the numbers. You may then stop and take the points associated with the combination -- or take that second turn, try to improve your hand, discard some cards and draw as many new ones. Remember, after your second turn, your possession is over.

D.J.: And here you see the table. You need to have a pair of Queens or better to earn any points at all. Anything worse than a pair of Queens and we have to take five points away.

Doug: And as Scarlett alluded to at the top of the show, if you can make a royal flush in this round, you win CY$1,000,000.

(audience cheers)

Doug: Dom, you're in last place right now. You'll go first. Before you go first, tell the nice folks about yourself.

Dom: Well Doug, I'm originally from Kingman, Arizona; I now live in Boise, Idaho. I've been a fan of Game Shows all my life, and have been a fan of the VBS network for about a decade.

Doug: Oh, bless you for watching.

Dom: I'm a little nervous here, but I wanna have a good time and hopefully pick up some big money. But if that doesn't work, I'll settle for a hug from D.J. and Scarlett -- and a dartboard with Dirty Harry on it.

(audience laughs)

Doug: One way or another, you're obviously looking for more than Rice-A-Roni. (more laughs) Five numbers, please.

Dom: 1-3-8-10-14

Doug: Okie doke, let's have a look.

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: Oh, how poetic. Dom wants a hug from two ladies. And what does he draw on the board? Two nines and -- two ladies.

(light laughter from the crowd)

Doug: But seriously, two pairs mean 10 additional points for your score. You'd be tied for second with Andy and Brian yet to have a possession; best that can happen if you stopped right now is second all to yourself. So, might as well take the second turn.

Dom: Best part of VBS is when you guys head to Gulfport and D.J. breaks out the sequined dress. Good gawd!

D.J.: Say, that reminds me, when are we going to Gulfport?

Doug: We'll have to twist a few arms and such. Anyhoo, have you got a new number or two in mind?

Dom: I shall indeed retain the ladies, and swap out the rest with -- all evens on the top, 2-4-6.

Doug: OK, interesting. I might have gone for a full boat -- but perhaps you have a feeling about 2, 4 and 6. Let's see.

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: Well, you traded up in terms of rank. But this is still two pair.

(ding)

Doug: Ya still get 10 points. Anything can still happen. Andy's up next after we shuffle.

(cards are shuffled on the video screen; after shuffling stops, the cards are covered immediately with the 24 numbers)

Doug: Now for the benefit of those who missed your big win on the last show, tell the fine folks about yourself.

Andy: I'm Andy Silikovitz, 42 and single from West Orange, New Jersey, where I've lived for thirty-five years. I work as a Torah reader in Montclair, New Jersey.

Doug: Very well. Congratulations again on your CY$62,000 win from the last show. Five numbers please.

Andy: 1, 6, 12, 18, 24.

Doug: All right, let's have a look.

(FF reveal sfx) (audience groans)

Doug: In a word -- revolting. Well, if you stopped here, you'd lose 5 points and I don't think you're going to stop here. Ditch as many cards as you like -- and then draw as many new ones.

Andy: Let's try 2, 4, 8, 14, 22.

Doug: In other words, throw your original cards in the dumpster and try something else. Fair enough. Let's see your new cards.
