Hi everyone. Welcome to Game 48 of Net Poker. We've dropped "The New" from the name -- but those wrinkles we've added since "The New" are still there. Since this the first game of the new year, some notes are in order.

\ Andy Silikovitz, the current champ, has a one-win total of CY$62,000.

\ Outlaw's Jackpot has been reset to CY$50,000 since Andy won the previous pot on the previous show. The Joker's bonus still hasn't been claimed and it's up to CY$45,000.

\ With this being Game 48, if you played in the main game of our 45th, 46th or 47th episode, please sit on your hands and let someone else in on the fun.

Now to the qualifying question. The two players closest to the right answer, high or low, get to play against Andy.

On February 27, 2010, at 8:30am Central, we watched a GSN rerun of "Whammy!: The All New Press Your Luck". The winner of this episode collected how much cash?

[To clarify, if the winner earned prizes and cash, the announcer would rattle off the list of said prizes and then say "put that together with (insert dollar figure here) in cash" before noting the total amount in cash and prizes. We're looking for that dollar figure in cash only.]

(time passes)

And time's up. Let's see how much green the winner racked up?

QUALIFYING ANSWER
$3000

Three-grand even. Who's the closest?

Dom Falance $3000

Wow! Dom, right on the money. You'll be Player 2. Who's Player 3?

Brian Henegar $3850

It's Brian. Thanks everyone for playing. Hope to spin against the outlaw later in the 24K video slot challenge. Meantime, first game of Poker in the new year starts in a smidge.

Andy, Dom and Brian, if any of you make a natural royal flush, you'll win CY$1,000,000 -- in the game of high hands and high rewards. From CDM Enterprises, a division of Trax Productions, this is Net Poker.

(audience cheers)

Scarlett: And now, here's the star of our show, Doug Morris!

(Doug walks out from behind the video poker screen)

Doug: Thank you, Scarlett. Hellooooooo, everybody, and welcome back to Net Poker. We may have reverted back to our original name -- but the game's still the same. So's our dealer -- D.J. Hamilton.

(audience cheers) (D.J. walks out wearing blue jeans and a t-shirt reading "I (heart) Steve")

D.J.: Hi, everyone. Great to be back and hope everyone's having a great 2011.

Doug: So -- uh -- the t-shirt begs the question. Who's Steve?

D.J.: Actually, that's what the players are going to have to figure out.

STEVE GARVEY/
STEVE HARVEY

D.J.: Our theme in the Video Poker round is Steve Garvey/Steve Harvey. Doug's going to give you a statement. You have to figure out if it relates to Steve Garvey, the former major leaguer, or Steve Harvey, author of "Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man".

A statement may relate to both; another statement may relate to neither. We'll offer additional choices of "all of the above" and "none of the above" with each statement.
