5-Card Poker Doug: Welcome back to The New Net Poker. Our 5-Card Poker round's about to start. Dean needs to win this and Joker Poker to play for a million-plus in Deuces Wild. (new car music plays) If he can win Joker Poker, he will have won four straight games and what else, Scarlett?
Scarlett: For you're driving enjoyment, it's -- A NEW CAR!!!!

THE FRAME GAME
![]()
Doug: One of my favorite themes. We're going to put three frames on the video screen -- like this...
![]()
TRIGGER ??? HALLOWEEN ![]()
Doug: ...there are always words in each frame -- but you've got to figure out what goes in the middle frame. A correct answer will yield two different two-word phrases. So, in this case, with "Trigger" at the top and "Halloween" at the bottom, what's in the middle, Deej?
D.J.: It's "Happy", Doug. Trigger happy, a slang term for shooting a firearm before identifying the target. Happy Halloween, something we wish everyone near the end of October.
Doug: There ya got it. Keep in mind a two-word phrase could be a movie title, show title, book title -- perhaps even a proper name.
Each time you chime in and correctly identify the word masked by the question marks, you earn 10 points and control of the cards. Buzz in and give me a wrong answer and the points and choice of card go to your opponent. After you've each collected four cards, we'll then go to a fifth set of frames with the cards up for grabs face down and 15 points at stake. High hand earns 25 points. Then we race to 100 points in the Poker Run.
Since Dean had the second highest amount of letters in the last Poker Run, he cut the cards for this round. Let's see the first two cards from the top of that deck.
D.J.: The 10 of Hearts and the Jack of Spades.
Doug: Okie doke. Possible million can be won here if more Hearts and Spades come down the chute. But, concentrate on this set of frames.

TEACHER'S ??? ROCK ![]()
Doug: Andy.
Andy: Pet.
Doug: That's right.
Doug: There's a Mary Kay Letourneau joke here somewhere but we don't have time for it. (light laughter from the crowd) Andy, which card?
Andy: The Jack.
Doug: Challenger takes the knave...

DEAN
ANDY
![]()
Doug: ...and the champ gets the 10. Two more cards, please.
(a few groans)
D.J.: The King of Diamonds and the 9 of Diamonds.
Doug: Automatically, natural royal flush can't be made. On to our next set of frames.
![]()
SUCKER ??? BOWL ![]()
Doug: Andy.
Andy: PUNCH.
Doug: He said with enthusiasm -- and he's right.
Doug: Andy, you lead 20 to nothing over the champ. Which card?
Andy: King me.
Doug: A cowboy for Andy...

DEAN
ANDY
![]()
Doug: ...9 goes to Dean. We get two more cards.
D.J.: The Jack of Clubs and the King of Hearts.
Doug: Well, either way, Andy will have a pair and Dean will be on a King-high straight draw. Dean could use some points. Let's see if they come with the next frames.
![]()
GUILTY ??? PRINCIPLE ![]()
Doug: Dean.
Dean: Party.
Doug: That's a correct answer.
DEAN ANDY ![]()
![]()
Doug: I say that's *a* correct answer because "pleasure" could've yielded two different phrases. Dean's on the scoreboard and gets to pick.
Dean: The King.
Doug: Taking the cowboy.

DEAN
ANDY
![]()
Doug: Andy gets his second Jack in the deal. Two more cards, please.
D.J.: The Ace of Clubs and the 10 of Spades.
Doug: All right, Dean could tie up the score with this. Andy's looking to pad his lead. Next frames.
![]()
KANYE ??? VIRGINIA ![]()
Doug: Dean.
Dean: West.
Doug: Right and we're tied at 20.
Doug: As if Kanye West needs any more attention. (audience laughs) Which card, Dean?
Dean: I'll take the ten and hope for trips.
Doug: Very well -- and good idea, I think...

DEAN
ANDY
![]()
Doug: ...it's not easy giving up an Ace -- but if Dean took the Ace, he wouldn't have a pair or straight draw going into our blind card frames. First, the cards come face down.
Doug: From this moment forward, each question will be worth 15 points or more. This next set of frames is worth exactly 15 points -- and here come the frames.

PLATYPUS ??? OVERBOARD ![]()
Doug: Dean.
Dean: Man?
Doug: Good guess -- that's right.
Doug: "Platypus Man" is the title of a short-lived sitcom. It starred the late Richard Jeni. Dean, you've made a nice comeback. But we're far from done. Which card do you think will help you earn 25 more points?
Dean: Left card.
Doug: The left it is...
