Welcome to Game 47 of The New Net Poker. Some notes before we start...
\ Dean Scungio, the current champ, has won three straight games and CY$190,000, including trips to Las Vegas, Nevada, and Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. If he wins this game, he plays for a bonus of CY$1,000,000 *plus* the value of the Outlaw's Jackpot.
\ Since Dean hit the jackpot on the last show, we've seeded it with a fresh CY$50,000. The Joker's bonus is up to CY$40,000.
\ With this being Game 47, if you played in the main game of our 44th, 45th or 46th episode, please sit on your hands and let someone else in on the fun.
Now to the qualifying question. The two players closest to the right answer, high or low, get to play against Dean.
On July 2, 2010 at 5:00pm Central, we watched a rerun of "Cash Cab" on Discovery Channel. In the three games played in this episode, passengers won a total of how much money?
(To clarify, the payoffs in this episode were $50 for each of the first four questions, $100 for each of the next four with $200 for each question thereafter. Any red light challenge was worth $250. So please respond to the nearest multiple of $50.)
(time passes)
Thanks to all for the patience. Quickly, I'll tell you the first game paid $1500 and the video bonus question was declined; the second game only paid $300 with the video bonus declined; the last game saw an attempt at the video bonus question and it was answered incorrectly, resulting in a forfeiture of whatever was earned in that game.
So, 1500 plus 300 plus lots of nothing equal our correct answer to this question...

DOUBLE MEANINGS
OF PROPER NAMES![]()
Doug: We're starting with Video Poker and Double Meanings of Proper Names. I'll give you descriptions of two different people who share the same first and last name. Chime in and tell me the first and last name those people share.
For example, if I gave you "Irish businessman" and "Host of the original version of 'The Price is Right'," the correct answer here would be Bill Cullen.
