(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: Woah! (audience cheers) Michael -- a full boat. That's 40 points and the lead if you stop now. Of course, Robert gets a turn before the Poker Run. What'cha think?

Michael: I'm keeping the full boat, Doug.

Doug: Thought ya might. Give the man 40 points.

DEAN
MICHAEL
ROBERT

(ding) (audience cheers)

Doug: Robert, you're going to need a straight to tie Michael or anything better than a straight to take first place ahead of the Poker Run. Let's shuffle 'em up.

(cards are shuffled on the video screen; after shuffling stops, the cards are covered immediately with the 24 numbers)

Doug: And you may now pick five numbers.

Robert: 1, 2, 3, 21 and 23.

Doug: Easy as 1, 2, 3 with a couple of numbers containing 1, 2 and/or 3. Let's have a look.

(FF reveal sfx) (scattered cheers)

Doug: WOAH! Robert. *This* close to a royal in Hearts. Now if you stopped here, you'd collect just five points and take second place going into the Poker Run. Something tells me, to say the least, you're wanting to do better than a pair of Aces.

Question is -- how do you want to improve your hand?

Robert: Replace the Ace of Diamonds with what's behind #7.

(audience cheers) (drum roll)

Doug: Everything else being equal, I think going for at least the straight is the best move. If number 7 hides the 10 of anything but Hearts, Robert clinches a tie with Michael ahead of the Poker Run and then Dean enjoys a bit of a benefit.

If it's the 10 of Hearts, Robert wins 1000 points and CY$1,000,000 and *probably* would win the Poker Run as well.

Anything other than a 10 -- and Robert either gains or loses five points and, either way, has second place all to himself.

This is exciting.

(dramatic pause)

Doug: It's so exciting -- I could use a break right now. (loud groans from the crowd) We're back after this.

(smooth jazz theme plays)
