Episode 11 Game 1

(ding) (audience cheers)

Doug: Three free rolls of the dice. Niiiice. Michael, think of this as getting that starman from Stupor -- ah -- (light laughter from the crowd) *Super* Mario Bros.

You may roll the dice three times without fear of busting. If you roll a 7, we still add CY$700 to the pot. Throw a double and we just add the roll's value in hundreds of cyber-bucks into the pot; no double decision to make.

You throw big numbers -- and we could throw more than CY$3000 into the pot. (audience cheers) So please take the first of your three free rolls.

(Michael rolls)

Doug: And you start with a 5 for CY$500 more. Up to CY$800. Roll again, please.

(Michael rolls)

(audience groans)

Doug: Oh, crumbs, another itty bitty 3. One more free roll. Come on, Michael. Make this count.

(Michael rolls)

(more groans)

Doug: Well -- that's the last of the free rolls. Another 5 brings the pot up to CY$1600. Now, let's shuffle up the board.

(amounts are shuffled on the double decision board; after shuffling stops, the amounts are covered immediately with the doubles)

Doug: And now it's decision time. Want to bank CY$1600 or roll again? A 7 will now result in a bust; the double decision board is active again.

(audience shouts suggestions)

Michael: I will roll again. Come on, eleven-ahhhhh!

(audience laughs)

(Michael rolls)

Doug: Ohhhh, Michael. You're like me. You don't know when to say when. (more laughs)

Doug: Well, Round 6. Dom still has CY$2400. Michael still has CY$500. Unless Michael wins this question and banks exactly CY$1900, we're going to Pikachu's favorite round, the catch-up round. (pauses) Get it? Pikachu? Ketchup?

(a few laugh; other groans)

Doug: That's what I get for trying to be cool on the last show on the network. Well -- before the wrap party really kicks in, let's start to wrap this game up with a question about -- parties.

Republican, Democrat or Libertarian. What was Arnold Schwarzenegger's political affiliation when he won California's gubernatorial recall election?

(Dom buzzes in)

Doug: Dom.

Dom: Republican.

Doug: That's the *right* answer. (audience applause) Get it? Right? Republican?

(a few laughs from the crowd)

(Dom rolls)

Doug: Can't believe I'm losing my touch, here. And Dom, who couldn't wait, rolled a double 2 -- but no double decision to make on the free roll. So we start the new pot with CY$400. No one better throw in another 20 without me knowing it.

(scattered laughter)

Doug: There is this to consider. Dom, no matter how much casharoo you bank in this round, there's gonna be at least one way for Michael to catch up to ya. So -- wanna bank after the free roll like ya did earlier -- or live a little and roll again?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Dom: Let it ride.

(Dom rolls; one cube rolls out of the table and onto the floor)

(audience laughs)

Doug: Not again! Dom, ya gotta be careful with these dadgummed dice.

(stage hand "rescues" cube; hands it back to Doug)

Doug: Thank you. Try it again, Dom.

(Dom rolls)

Doug: And -- how ironic? It's a 5. Pot's up to CY$900. Keep on rollin?

(audience shouts suggestions)

(Dom rolls)

Doug: Seven-ah. Nine C-notes go sour.

Doug: Well, it's catch-up time fer ya Michael. In this round, you don't build a pot -- but it's not a free roll of the dice. So if you roll a 7, it's a bust. You don't gain anything -- but you don't lose anything either. Anything else and you instantly bank the value of the roll in hundreds of cyber-bucks.

Given the difference in score, you're going to have to hope for a double and also hope that double helps you. So, let's shuffle and spice up the board.

(amounts are shuffled on the double decision board; after shuffling stops, the amounts are covered immediately with the doubles)

Doug: One screen will actually tie the score. At least one other has cyber-money and an extra roll. Think double -- think *helpful* double -- then roll those bones.

(Michael rolls)

(audience groans)

Doug: An 11 for CY$1100. Big number -- but not enough to stay in business. Dom's our winner.

(dings; audience applause)

Doug: Michael, stick around. Even though you lost, you'll play the Bonus Bonanza for CY$50,000 or more -- *and* with three gold coins.

Dom, after that, you'll play the mega roll for CY$1,000,000. But before anyone plays a bonus round, we want to give you one chance to add to your CY$2400.

Take the dice, Dom. This is still not a free roll -- so you roll a 7, you'll stay at CY$2400. Anything else and we add CY$100 per point to your bank. Throw a double -- and you'll make a double decision.

(Dom rolls)

(audience cheers)

Doug: And you pocket another CY$1000.

Doug: Bartender, again, just add it to my tab. (audience laughs) Dom, your total winnings are CY$3400. Michael, so far on our show, you've won CY$4800. We're gonna take a break -- 'cause I use another drink. (more laughs) We'll be this right after back.
