Episode 6 Game 2

Doug: And we're back with our second game of Hot Dice for the night.

Doug: So far, Michael Clifford has won CY$10,800. Nikolai has banked CY$14,200. We're going to dive right into our next game -- because, we're going to try and sneak in a third audience game tonight.

(ding)

Doug: And we'll commence with this question.

Space, Rio or Encino. Which of these locations has not been the basis for an official spinoff of the game Angry Birds?

(Michael buzzes in)

Doug: Michael.

Michael: Encino.

Doug: And we're all the better for it. (audience applause) Michael, you need this game to stay in business. Roll 'em.

(Michael rolls)

Doug: Niner. Wanna bank 900 or gamble it all away and roll again?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Michael: I'll roll again.

(Michael rolls)

Doug: Wow. The yo-leven quickly brings the pot to CY$2000. Bank the two large or keep the dice in your charge?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Michael: I will bank the two large.

Doug: All right, 2000's yours.

(audience cheers)

(ding)

Doug: Michael has 2000, Nikolai yet to score. We're just getting started in this game. Round 2 starts with this query.

Her hat, her socks or her unmentionables. In a hit song by Joe Cocker, he sings she can leave -- what on?

(Nikolai buzzes in)

Doug: Nikolai.

Nikolai: Her hat.

Doug: That's the garment. (audience applause) Though if the hat had Michigan colors, I'd ask her to remove it. (audience laughs)

(Nikolai rolls)

Doug: Nikolai couldn't want to roll and I can't blame him. That's a 7 -- but on the free roll, we seed a new pot with CY$700. The next 7 is a bust. Bank 'em or roll 'em?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Nikolai: Gotta roll 'em. Okay, let's see doubles.

(Nikolai rolls)

Doug: Not a double -- but a 9. Up to CY$1600. Roll 'em again?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Nikolai: Even though I'm still a bit behind, there's still plenty more game. So I'm banking.

(some applaud; others groan)

Doug: Bit of a split reaction from the crowd.

(ding)

Doug: I probably would've done the same thing. Just CY$400 separate the players as we play Round 3 and this question.

"...Revoked", "...to Steal" or "...to Thrill". The 1989 James Bond movie "Licence to Kill" was originally titled "Licence..." -- what?

(Michael buzzes in)

Doug: Michael.

Michael: Revoked.

Doug: That's right. (audience applause) Give 'em a roll.

(Michael rolls)

Doug: And an 8 seeds a new pot with CY$800. We haven't had a double yet in this game -- and the only 7 that happened was on a free roll earlier.

Roll 'em or bank 'em?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Michael: I will roll them.

(Michael rolls)

Doug: Woah. Double decision time. Michael, one of two things will happen -- based on your call. We'll either add CY$1000 to the pot...

Doug: ...or you'll take whatever's hiding in the double 5 screen.

If there's cyber-money there, we add that much to the pot instead of CY$1000. If there's a surprise, we follow the directions. If there's a bust, the eight bills in the pot go down the drain.

What'cha think?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Michael: I'll go for what's behind the board.

(a few gasps)

Doug: Daring move on your part. Well, instead of adding a grand to the pot, what happens?

Doug: A total wipeout. Well, shuffle 'em up.

(amounts are shuffled on the double decision board; after shuffling stops, the amounts are covered immediately with the doubles)

Doug: Still a close game. CY$400 difference between first and second as we start Round 4 with this question.

Bill Clinton, Mike Huckabee or Haley Barbour. Who did *not* serve as governor of Arkansas?

(Michael buzzes in)

Doug: Michael.

Michael: Haley Barbour

Doug: Governor of Mississippi. You're right. (audience applause) Let's see if you make a comeback. Roll 'em.

(Michael rolls)

Doug: And if there's a time to roll a 7, it's here on the free roll. CY$700 in the pot. Next 7 busts. What'cha think?

(audience shouts suggestions)
