Episode 5 Bonus Game 1

Doug: And we're back. Before we start the Bonus Bonanza, as we noted earlier, we had to throw out a question in the last game due to a production error. Michael lost that game -- but we're not letting the loss count against him.

Now, Will, in fairness to you, when you play the next game versus Michael, when you have the dice in hand, we'll make sure there's a "lose loss" space on the double decision board. Because in that next game, there could've been one loss against each of you. When Michael rolls the dice, there will be a cyber-money award in lieu of "lose loss".

It'll make sense when we play the next game. But right now, let's roll for CY$50,000. You did it before. Who's to say you can't do it again?

Will: It's certainly to do it again.

Doug: That's the spirit. Take your free roll of the dice first. This is for CY$250 a point regardless of the sum.

Will: OK, let's start ourselves off with a YO!

(Will rolls)

Doug: No yo-leven -- but it's an 8 times CY$250 for CY$2000.

(audience cheers)

Doug: Will, as you know, when you roll a sum that successfully adds cyber-money to the pot, you have the decision of banking the loot and ending the game -- or risking the contents of the pot with another roll.

Doug: As you know there are three bust rolls instead of just one -- the 5, 7 and 9. While the dangers increase, so do the rewards. You're rolling for CY$500 a point from here on out.

Doug: Double decision board now active with three busts and three amounts worth at least CY$20,000 each. One screen is guaranteed to hide the top payoff of CY$50,000.

Doug: To help you, we have two gold coins since you've won two straight games. If you roll a 5, 7 or 9 -- or run into a bust on the double decision board -- you must surrender a coin and roll again. If you run into any bust situation with no gold coins in your possession, game's over and you lose everything in the bonus bonanza.

So, do you want to bank the CY$2000 and start a new game -- or roll and try for more?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Will: Odds are tougher, but I have another chip. Let's throw them again. We want a YO!

(Will rolls)

Doug: Not a yo -- but a double 2. Means a double decision. Will, we could add CY$2000 more to the pot...

Doug: ...or you may take whatever's behind the double 2 screen on the board. If there's cyber-money there, we add that much to the pot instead of CY$2000. If there's a bust, you have to fork over a coin and roll again.

Remember, you can't stop the game until more cyber-money is added to the pot. So it *is* possible to burn two coins quickly and end up broke. What say ye?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Will: Hard 4? Let's go to the board.

(scattered cheers)

Doug: Crowd approves that decision. Of course, they're not risking two grovers. (audience laughs) As you'll recall...

you

hit

us

for

fifty

thousand

cyber-

dollars

the

last

time.

Do

we

add

fifty

grand

again?

(ding) (audience cheers)

Doug: Thirty grand. Wow!

Doug: The pot suddenly swells to CY$32,000. Let's shuffle the board.

(amounts are shuffled on the double decision board; after shuffling stops, the amounts are covered immediately with the doubles)

Doug: Will, now you've suddenly got a big decision to make. If you bank now, your total winnings would exceed CY$100,000. Then again, you still have two gold coins. What would you like to do?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Will: I'm done. I'll take the money and run!

(audience cheers)

Doug: Banking another big pot -- CY$32,000.

(ding)

Doug: CY$100,800 in just three games. Quickly, you've become the biggest winner in this young series of Hot Dice. (audience cheers) However -- I'm in a Matt Lauer mood today. (audience laughs) Right to know supercedes the right to exist after all. Could the pot have been bigger? Just roll the dice. This won't count.

(Will rolls)

(a few gasps)

Doug: This would've been a double decision between a certain CY$1000 -- or what? Show us please what's in that double 1 screen.

(ding) (audience groans)

Doug: Ohhh -- that would've been another CY$30,000. Well -- I think we're done playing what if. Still an impressive total -- CY$100,800.

(audience cheers)

Doug: And if you win the next two straight games, you play for CY$1,000,000 in the Mega Roll.

We'll have another game with Will and Michael later. But first -- anyone here want to go to London for the Olympics? (audience cheers) That's in a different bonus bonanza for a lucky member of the audience -- after this.
