Episode 4 Game 2

Scarlett: Tonight's contestants will receive some of the following...

Pop-Ice -- a delicious freeze at home treat. Comes in assorted fruit flavors. Twelve bars per box. Treat your youngsters with refreshing Pop-Ice.

Diet Shasta. If you're tired of the same old diet cola, say, "I wanna pop! Diet Shasta!"

d'Amelia Pasta -- imported from Italy. Delicious pasta made the way it was meant to be -- from 100% semolina and durum wheat.

And a member of our studio audience will receive the Vita Mix 3600 -- a stainless steel three-minute breadmaker and home yogurt factory. It juices without waste, cooks without burning, freezes instant ice cream and offers 800 great recipes.

(audience cheers)

Doug: Thanks, Scarlett. Welcome back to Hot Dice. Before we start Game 2, let's take a moment to meet our newer player on the show tonight, Will Schmarder.

Will: I'm an engineer currently living around Syracuse, New York, and in my spare time, I enjoy logic puzzles, card games, and college ice hockey.

Doug: Oh you must meet my brother. He also follows hockey, both the college and pro ranks, and he's also worked as an engineer.

Doug: So far, you've banked CY$2100 and you have a loss against you. Eddie is working on two straight wins after losing previously.

Players, remember, this is not necessarily an elimination game. We have "lose loss" hiding somewhere on the double decision board. Throw a double and the mark against you could disappear.

Right now, let's start a new game.

(ding)

Doug: And here's your first toss-up question of the game.

Heather Morris, Heather Locklear or Heather Thomas. Which of these beautiful women was married to Richie Sambora of Bon Jovi fame?

(Will buzzes in)

Doug: Will.

Will: Heather Thomas.

Doug: Sorry, it was Heather Locklear. So that means Eddie gets to roll the dice.

(Eddie rolls)

Doug: Double 4 -- but no double decision to make on the free roll. So, we seed the pot with CY$800. Care to roll again or bank the eight bills?

Eddie: Let's see if I can get doubles again...

(Eddie rolls)

Doug: Huh geez Louise. A six and a one for a bust. Only time this show he rolled doubles is when they don't count. Round 2 commences with this question.

Tonight, Tomorrow or Today. Complete the title of this fictional soap opera that a character in "Hot in Cleveland" starred in: "Edge of..."

(Eddie buzzes in)

Doug: Eddie.

Eddie: I'll guess tonight.

Doug: No -- Victoria Chase was on "Edge of Tomorrow". Will, dice are hot for your free roll.

(Will rolls)

Doug: And it's a 6 and a 3 for CY$900. Risk the nine bills or bank and run for the hills?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Will: The odds remain as such. I'll roll 'em again. COME ON, YO!

(Will rolls)

Doug: You got a 1 and a 5 -- boosting the pot up to CY$1500. Wanna keep on rolling?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Will: It's the same odds. Let's throw them again! (scattered cheers) We want a YO!

(Will rolls)

Doug: Woah -- big one. Six and a four. Up to CY$2500. Bank or roll?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Will: You know what, Doug, I think I'll stash the cash.

Doug: Banking the 2500.

(ding)

Doug: Will on the board, Eddie yet to score. On to Round 3 and this query.

Did the video arcade game Revolution X include the music of Aerosmith, Whitesnake or Guns N' Roses?

(Will buzzes in)

Doug: Will.

Will: Aerosmith.

Doug: That's right. (audience applause) Chance to pad your lead starts now with the free roll.

(Will rolls)

Doug: And you start with a 6 and a 2 for CY$800. Bank now and you'd lead by 3300. Or you may roll again to possibly pad the lead further.

(audience shouts suggestions)

Will: Same odds. We'll keep going. Let's see a YO!

(Will rolls)

Doug: And we have a 1 and a 2. The ol' Lawrence Welk Roll brings you up to CY$1100. Care to roll 'em again?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Will: Let's go again. Let's see the bottom of both those dice, a YO!

(Will rolls)

Doug: And it's a 5 and a 4 for a total of CY$2000. By the way, what's this yo you keep asking for?

Will: Doug, that's the eleven. The Yo-leven.

Doug: Ah, craps slang. Gotcha. Well, want to stay in charge or bank two large?

Will: You know what? I think I'll bank the pair of Grovers.

Doug: Two Grovers comin' your way.

(ding)

Doug: At the halfway point, Will's up to CY$4500. Eddie still with nothing. Round 4 commences with this question.

The Indianapolis 500, The Pepsi 400 or The Kentucky Derby. Which of these famed races is traditionally held in the first weekend of May?

(Will buzzes in)

Doug: Will.

Will: The Kentucky Derby.

Doug: Right you are. (audience applause) Obviously, you don't horse around. (audience groans and boos) Roll, please, before they get hostile.

(Will rolls)

Doug: Three and a four -- but as you know, you have immunity from busts on the free roll. CY$700 in the pot. From now until the end of the round, the next roll of seven puts everything in the pot down the drain. What's your pleasure?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Will: Like I always say when playing craps, that number's OK on the first roll.

Usually at this point I make the table happier by throwing a yo, so I'm going to roll again and do just that -- hopefully.

(Will rolls)

Doug: Far from the yo-leven. A 1 and 4 bring the pot up to CY$1200. Roll again or bank again?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Will: Let's keep going. I wanna see a YO!

(Will rolls)

Doug: And you're seeing a bust roll instead -- 3 and a 4. Score remains 4500 to nothing in Will's favor. Can Eddie get on a hot roll or will Will be able to pad the lead? We'll find out after this next toss-up question.

None, one or two. How many cast members of the movie "The Running Man" went on to become governors of U.S. states?
