Episode 4 Bonus Game 2

Doug: We're back. Will Schmarder's back. Will, so far in this episode, you've banked CY$9000. (audience cheers) You've also defeated one of the biggest winners of all time -- not just in our history.

Now you have a chance to become a big winner yourself. It all begins with a free roll of the dice. The dice total will be multiplied by CY$250.

Will: Sounds good, Doug. Let's get a YO!

(Will rolls)

Doug: Wow, close to a yo. A ten for CY$2500. (audience cheers) Now just like the main game, you don't have a double decision to make on the free roll.

But, you've got CY$2500 and *this* decision to consider. Roll again or bank?

Doug: If you roll again, remember, there are now three bust rolls -- 5, 7 and 9.

Doug: Double decision board is now active -- which now hides three busts and three different amounts worth at least CY$20,000 each.

Any roll outside of a 5, 7, 9 or double adds CY$500 per point to the pot. That means a yo pays CY$5500.

Doug: Oh, uh, one more thing, as Lt. Columbo would say. For winning the game, you've earned a gold coin. If you bust, you must surrender the coin and roll again. Next time you bust, though, the game's over and you win nothing.

So, knowing what's at stake, want to roll again or take CY$2500 and we'll see you on the next show?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Will: Ouch -- odds go down to 11 of 18 for safety. Oh why not, I'll go for it. Let's see a YO!

Doug: Numbers guy goes for it.

(Will rolls)

(audience cheers)

Doug: The roll is 6 for CY$3000. Up to CY$5500. Decision again is yours. Bank 'em or roll 'em.

(audience shouts suggestions)

Will: It's a tough decision -- but send the dice out. Come on, YO!

(Will rolls)

Doug: No yo -- but snake eyes. *Now* the double decision board comes into play.

Doug: We could add CY$500 for each snake eye to the pot, or CY$1000. *Or* you may go to the double 1 screen on the board. Hiding inside the double 1 screen is either a payoff of at least CY$20,000 -- which will be added to the pot instead of CY$1000 -- or a bust, which means you have to surrender the coin and roll again.

Think about this -- because if you go to the screen and there's a bust *and* you roll a 5, 7 or 9, you're out CY$5500 and it's game over.

Carefully consider this double decision.

(audience shouts suggestions)

Will: Aces have been good in the past for me. Let's go to the board!

(audience cheers)

Doug: Jackpot Game comes la-- oh -- you meant the aces on the dice table. (audience laughs) I'll get my gambling slang straight.

(ding)

Doug: FIFTY GRAND!!!!

(bells and sirens sound; audience cheers)

Doug: Will, just like that -- the pot has swelled to CY$55,500. *But* -- let's tempt you into playing on for a moment. Let's reveal the rest of the double decision board, first.

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: OK, there's a CY$20,000 prize and a CY$40,000 prize in addition to the three busts. Now, they'll stay on the board -- but let's replace the CY$50,000 prize *with*...

(ding)

Doug: ...*double pot*. (audience cheers) Now, let's shuffle the board.

(amounts are shuffled on the double decision board; after shuffling stops, the amounts are covered immediately with the doubles)

Doug: Now, Will, let's regroup and recap.

Doug: You still have CY$55,500 in the pot. You still have a coin that can protect one and only one bust situation.

If you like, you may stop the game and bank the 55-large and change -- or you may roll again. If you roll again, the dice roll has to add something to the pot in order to have a chance to stop and bank.

What do you think?

(audience shouts suggestions)

Will: Mama didn't raise a dummy. I'll color up and walk.

(audience cheers)

Doug: Banking CY$55,500. Congratulations.

(dings; alarm sounds; audience applause; win music plays)

Doug: Now that that little musical interlude is over -- we're not going to play the "What if?" game. We will tell you in defeating a big winner, you're well on your way to becoming a big winner yourself, Will. CY$64,500.

(audience cheers)

Doug: As I recall, Eddie lost his first game -- but proceeded to win nearly CY$79,000 before losing his second game. Along the way, he benefitted from "lose loss". So -- who knows what will happen to you from here.

For now, enjoy that CY$64,500. We'll hopefully enjoy The Jackpot Game -- after this.
