Episode 1 Bonus Game 2

Doug: (on cell phone) They're how much? Wow. Uhhh, listen, Mr. Hovis, our commercial break's over and we've got to start a bonus game. But -- uh -- we'll be in touch, OK?

(Guy Hovis responds on other end of connection)

Doug: OK, thank you, sir. Good day. (hangs up) Gosh, I didn't realize bubble machines were expensive.

(audience laughs)

Doug: Or at least bubble machines from a "Lawrence Welk Show" cast member are expensive. Eddie, enough about us. Let's focus on you and a free roll of the dice. Whatever you roll here will be multiplied by CY$250; any roll after that could be worth 50 grand. Let's see if you can get three grand right now.

(Eddie rolls)

Doug: It's a 1 and a 4 -- times 250 means we seed the pot with CY$1250.

(audience applause)

Doug: Brief reminder of how we move forward from here. Each safe roll is now worth CY$500 a point.

In the main game, you wanted to avoid rolling a 7. Here in the Bonus Bonanza -- outside of the just completed free roll -- a 5, 7 or 9 results in a bust.

Doug: You've won one game -- so I give you a gold coin. If you roll a 5, 7 or 9, you must surrender it and roll again. The next 5, 7 or 9 means the Bonus Bonanza ends and you lose everything in the pot.

Don't forget about the double decision board. Three of the doubles hide busts, the others hide at least CY$20,000 each; one is guaranteed to hide CY$50,000.

Doug: So, the question is -- do you want to stop now and keep the CY$1250 -- or gamble it all away on the next roll of the dice.

(audience shouts suggestions)

Eddie: I'll roll.

(Eddie rolls)

(audience applause)

Doug: And it's a 2 and a 4 -- times CY$500 adds CY$3000 to the pot. CY$4250 you may bank right now -- or risk and roll again.

(audience shouts suggestions)

Eddie: They still feel good. I'll give 'em a roll.

(Eddie rolls)

Doug: Oh wow. How good does a double 3 feel? You just rolled a double 3. This means we could add CY$3000 to the pot -- or you could go to the board and see what's behind the double 3 space.

If you got for it and the double 3 space hides cyber-money, we add at least CY$20,000 to the pot. If you got for it and there's a bust behind double 3, I have to take away your coin and you have to roll again.

(audience shouts suggestions)

Doug: This *could* be a CY$50,000 double decision. What do you do?

Eddie: Well, worst case is I'll have to take another roll, so let's hope for best case. Let's see what's on the board.

(audience cheers)

Doug: All right, going to the double decision board.

(dings; audience cheers)

Doug: CY$20,000!

(Eddie rolls)

Doug: Eddie, the pot is now up to CY$24,250. You may roll again -- but consider this. If you rolled a 5, 7 or 9 -- or find another bust on the board, I have to take away the coin and you have to roll again. If that *next* roll is a bust, say goodbye to CY$24,250.

(audience shouts suggestions)

Doug: While you give it some thought, we have to shuffle the board.

(amounts are shuffled on the double decision board; after shuffling stops, the amounts are covered immediately with the doubles)

Doug: All right, the board's ready *if* you want to roll again and *if* you roll another double. What's your call?

Eddie: Here's where I color up my chips and take them to the cashier window. Let's bank it!

(audience cheers)

Doug: Banking 24 large and change. Congratulations.

(ding)

Doug: This means you have banked CY$34,350 after just two games.

(more cheers)

Doug: Shawn has banked just a shade under ten grand. Again, we'll see both of you on the next show since you each just have the one loss against each of you.

But when we come back, we're going to punctuate our show with another chance for a lucky audience member to win a new car -- and then some -- right after this.
