Doug: Symbols have the outer space theme tonight. In a moment, I'll spin the board once. Before I do, you'll each pick a row or column.
After the spin, if your selection has three different symbols, you'll play three questions worth CY$250. If your selection has a pair of a particular symbol, you'll play three questions at CY$500 a pop. And if your choice has three of the same, your three questions will each be worth CY$1000.
Andy, we'll start with you, pick a row or column, please.
Andy: Since in accounting, assets are on the left, I'll go with the left column.
Doug: Thank you. John, your choice, please.
John: Left column.
Doug: Also going with the left. Matt, do you make it unanimous?
Matt: Bottom row.

Doug: Great news for Andy and John. Left column's worth a grand. Matt's row is worth half as much for CY$500.
Andy, since you're in third place, we start with you. Each of these questions are worth CY$1000.
True or false: The perfect score for an SAT, as in Scholastic Aptitude Test, is 3000.
Andy: False.
Doug: 2400.
True or false: Spalding made the first official basketball.
Andy: True?
Doug: That is true. They made the first basketball in 1894.
True or false: AK is the postal abbreviation for the state of Arkansas.
Andy: False.
Doug: Alaska. Three for three.

True or false: Paprika is an herb.
Matt: True.
Doug: No, it's a spice.
True or false: The Wisconsin Tourism Federation, or WTF, changed its name to the Tourism Federation of Wisconsin due to an unintended vulgar meaning of the original initials.
Matt: True.
Doug: That's right. However, there's no word on a change in name from Mississippi's Institute of Lady Fishers.
D.J.: I love to fish -- but don't look at me.
Doug: Last question for you, Matt.
True or false: The term "mommy" comes from the fact mothers have mammary glands.
Matt: True?
Doug: Insert your own joke here -- but that's right.

Doug: Now to John. These last three questions are yours. Each of these questions are worth CY$1000.
True or false: Joseph Smith founded The Teamsters.
(time passes) (buzz buzz)
Doug: That's false. He founded The Mormon religion.
True or false: Chickens are nearsighted.
(time passes) (buzz buzz)
Doug: That's true.
True or false: Chickens can see in the dark.
(time passes) (buzz buzz)
Doug: That's false and that's the question part of the round. Andy with a big CY$3500 lead. Matt in second with 1800. John with 950. Anything can happen as we play Five-Card Risk. Deej?
D.J.: All right, Dirty Harry's here with me and the card game we're playing tonight is...
D.J. ...In Between. Winning cards in this game are a 4, a King and everything in between. In a moment, you'll each place a bet on the first card. If that card is in the winning range, the payoff is 1-to-1.
But that's where the fun begins. If the first card turns up a winner, you may freeze and collect your winnings or risk and try and double what you just doubled.
Be careful -- because if an Ace, 2, 3 or Joker is turned over, the Five-Card Risk ends, you'll lose everything you risked and you'll post a net loss of the original wager.
Doug: Remember the great thing about this round. If you risk five times and all the cards turn up winners, you'll be credited with a blitz. And if you blitz this round and later finish on top in The Big Risk round, you'll play for up to CY$1,000,000 in Go For The Gold.
Doug: For now, please wager in multiples of CY$50. The minimum bet is CY$500. Best of luck and place your bets.

If the next card is a 4, a King or something in between and you all risk, we'll pay Andy another CY$3000, we'll pay John another CY$1900 and we'll pay Matt another CY$1800.
But if we see a 2, 3, Ace or Joker and you risked on that card, everything you put at risk goes bye-bye. So -- freeze or risk?
