Jay: Let's try R and L please.
Doug: R and L. Behind the R.

Doug: ...three questions. Chance to win CY$900 total.
True or false: Chevy Chase was the first to leave the original "SNL" cast.
Jay: I believe that's true.
Doug: That's right. Next question.
True or false: Clear Channel Radio is owned by the Disney corporation.
Jay: False I think.
Doug: That's right. However, that does not take away from the fact Clear Channel is a Mickey Mouse organization. (light laughter from the crowd and crew) Last one for CY$300.
True or false: Dr. Phil got his start in television on "Larry King Live".
Jay: False- I'm pretty sure he started on Oprah.
Doug: Right -- on all counts. Give him CY$900.
JAY
CY$1,150
ROBERT
CY$250
DEAN
CY$250
Doug: You'll take CY$1150 into Dice Risk, Jay. Now we move on to the first of your two affluent challengers. Robert, you won a million at Net Poker. Let's see what damage you can do to the bank account here. Two letters please -- one from each row.
Robert: I want both E's, please.
Doug: Simple enough. First E gives you...

Doug: ...two questions. Chance to add CY$400 to the coffers.
True or false: At least one man has appeared on the cover of Playboy magazine.
Robert: That's gotta be True.
Doug: The first man to appear on Playboy's cover was Peter Sellers in '64. What's worse? Nothing but articles. (light laughter from the crowd) Next question.
True or false: The Titanic was christened.
Robert: I'll say False for that one.
Doug: And I'll say you have CY$400 more.
JAY
CY$1,150
ROBERT
CY$650
DEAN
CY$250
Doug: Robert will take CY$650 into Dice Risk. Dean, our winner of TBR's tournament down in Gulfport. First he's played this revised form of TBR. Two letters, please, Dean.
Dean: The U and then the F, and definitely not the other way around.
(light laughter from the crowd)
Doug: Thank you for picking U and F in that order. If you picked them the other way around, we'd suddenly be TBR After Dark. (more laughter) What's behind U?

Doug: *Five*. Potential CY$1250 coming your way. Get four out of five and you'll have the lead going into Dice Risk. Here come the queries.
(Doug scans next question card -- and laughs) (audience laughs along with Doug)
Doug: Maybe, Dean, you were better off starting with picking the F and then -- U -- because the first question is...
True or false: "Fat Bastard Chardonnay" is a French wine label.
(audience laughs and applauds)
Dean: Um, odd enough to be...true?
Doug: That's right. (audience applause) OK, one down, next query.
True or false: We currently know The Sandwich Islands as The Philippines.
Dean: That's false.
Doug: They're the Hawaiian Islands. I wish I were there now. (light laughter from the crowd and crew) Two for two. Next question.
True or false: Tennessee Williams was a native of Tennessee.
Dean: False.
Doug: Native of Mississippi.
True or false: The White House is located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington.
Dean: True.
Doug: Absolutely. You have the lead for now. Let's see if you can pad it with this.
True or false: An odd number plus another odd number always equal an odd number.
Dean: Definitely false.
Doug: One and three definitely add up to four -- so that *is* false.
JAY
CY$1,150
ROBERT
CY$650
DEAN
CY$1,500
Doug: After that rather interesting round of questions, Dean's in the lead with 1500, Jay's in second with 1150 and Robert has 650. Time for the first risk of the night -- Dice Risk. And Deej is over by the big board.
D.J.: Thanks, Doug. You look so relieved the questions ended.
Doug: Yeah, we're having a writers' meeting after the show.
D.J.: OK, time for Dice Risk. We start with our champ picking a number. Jay, as you know, the cards 4 through 10 are hidden behind the dice faces. There are no repeats and no 7s. So pick a number.
Jay: I'll try #3.
D.J.: The number 3 hides...
D.J.: ...a 9. So that's our point for the dealer. Please welcome everyone's common foe, Dirty Harry.
(audience boos as DH walks out)
Doug: Harry, you remember Dean from the tourney in Gulfport, right? (DH is stone faced) And -- you remember Robert from the Net Poker tourney, right? (DH is still stone faced) And of course, Jay's back. (DH is still stone faced) You look really thrilled about this panel, don't ya?
(DH sneers) (light laughter from the crowd)
D.J.: Before this turns ugly, players, you must predict whether or not Harry will roll a 9 in seven rolls or less. If you think he'll make the point of 9, bet on "PASS". If you think he'll fail by rolling a 7 before rolling a 9, bet on "DON'T PASS".
Correct wagers payoff at 1-to-1, incorrect predictions result in a net loss of the original wager -- and if Harry doesn't roll a 7 or 9 in seven rolls, all bets result in a push.
Doug: Remember, Jay, Robert and Dean, since we spotted each of you CY$250, you have to wager at least CY$250. You may voluntarily shoot the works and take the big risk. Regardless of how much you decide to bet, make sure that bet is evenly divisible by 50.
So for the first time tonight, place your bets.

CY$500Doug: All right, everyone's locked in. Champ's betting roughly half -- CY$600 -- on success. Robert goes minimum and Dean bets a third of his stack on fail. I don't mean to play favorites -- but I take delight in a Dirty Harry fail.
(DH sneers) (light laughter from the crowd)
D.J.: Uh, we better roll the dice.
(DH rolls)

D.J.: No success -- but no fail either. Seven rolls of the dice didn't produce a 7 or 9.
Doug: That means rebates all around.

DEAN

Doug: Dean's in the lead -- but anything can happen in the next round. Five-Card Risk is coming up here on The Big Risk.
