Doug: Now let's give each of you a shot at winning more with the True or False board.

Doug: In this first round, the letters in "TRUE" hide different amounts of cyber-money -- up to CY$500. The letters in "FALSE" hide the numbers 1 through 5 with no repeats. Pick a letter from each row -- and that will determine how much each question is worth for you -- and how many questions you'll play.

Michael, you're the champ -- so you pick first.

Michael: Let's go with both of the E's.

Doug: Both E's? We can do that. E in true hides how much cyber-money?

(ding) (scattered cheers)

Doug: The big one. CY$500. Behind the other E, you play...

(ding) (more cheers)

Doug: ...wow, *five* questions. Chance at CY$2500.

True or false: Chan Kong-sang is better known to us by the name Jackie Chan.

Michael: That's true.

Doug: That is true. Next question.

True or false: The Wooly Mammoth became extinct in the 1850s.

Michael: That's false.

Doug: Extinct in the ice age.

True or false: A-1 Steak Sauce contains orange peels and raisins.

Michael: That's true.

Doug: Three for three. Next query.

True or false: Anise is a fabric.

Michael: That's false.

Doug: It's an herb. Last question.

True or false: Toffee is made by boiling together brown suger, butter and vinegar.

Michael: That's true.

Doug: And that's a perfect score!

(audience cheers)

Doug: There's the most you can make in this round. CY$2750. You take that into Dice Risk later. Jay and Jay, hang in there. The game is young. Jay Cross, you're up next -- pick two letter.

Jay Cross: I'll take the R and the F please.

Doug: OK, behind the R we have...

(ding) (scattered groans from the crowd)

Doug: ...oh dear, the lowest number in the top part of the board -- CY$200. I'm almost scared to ask -- but what's behind F?

(ding)

Doug: OK, middle of the road number. Three questions at CY$200 each means a chance at up to CY$600.

True or false: The world's first paved streets appeared in 1905.

Jay Cross: Has to be false.

Doug: Appeared in Rome in 170 BC.

True or false: Ducks will lay eggs only in the morning.

Jay Cross: True?

Doug: Good guess, that's right. Last question for a hat trick.

True or false: Ronald and Nancy Reagan were childhood sweethearts.

Jay Cross: I think it's false.

Doug: That's right for CY$600 more.

(audience applause)

Doug: CY$850 to take into Dice Risk. Over to the other Jay now -- two letters please.

Jay Converse: I'll take U and S.

Doug: Behind the U...

(ding)

Doug: ...CY$250 -- and behind the S, you play...

(ding)

Doug: ...two questions. Shot at CY$500 more.

True or false: The first state to declare Christmas a legal holiday is also the first state to appear in an alphabetical list of U.S. states.

Jay Converse: True

Doug: Alabama was the first to declare Christmas a legal holiday in 1836; they're first in an alphabetical list. Next question.

True or false: The last state to declare Christmas a legal holiday is also the last state to appear in an alphabetical list of U.S. states.

Jay Converse: False

Doug: Oklahoma was the last state in the union to declare Christmas a legal holiday in 1907. And of course, they'd be about midway on the alphabetical list. So you sweep both questions for CY$500.

Doug: Well, Michael's clearly in front with 2750, Jay Cross at 850 and Jay Converse is at 750. But things can change at the dice table. Deej?

D.J.: Indeed they can. Michael, since you're the champ, we need you're help...

D.J.: ...behind the numbered spaces are the cards 4 through 10 with no repeats and no 7. Which number do you want?

Michael: I'll be like a golfer and say: 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(audience laughs)

Doug: Someone apparently missed Tiger on the links.

(more laughs)

D.J.: Behind 4, we have...

(ding)

D.J.: ...a 5. So that's our point for our dealer -- Dirty Harry.

(audience boos as Dirty Harry enters studio)

Doug: Who also works as a golf tournament official on the weekend.

(audience laughs)

D.J.: Players, here's what you have to do. You have to place a bet and then determine whether Harry will succeed in matching the point of 5 -- or fail by rolling a 7. If you think he'll roll a 5 in seven rolls or less, bet on "PASS"; if you think a 7 will come up at some point in time, bet on "DON'T PASS".

Correct wagers pay off at 1-to-1, wrong predictions deduct the amount of the wager from your score -- and if Harry doesn't roll a 5 or 7 after seven rolls, all bets result in a push.

Doug: Minimum bet in this round is CY$250 -- but you may take the big risk voluntarily and wager everything. All wagers have to be in increments of CY$50. So for the first time tonight, place your bets.

(think music plays) (players lock in bets)
