Doug: Welcome back to TBR. Matt, Michael, Ian, after that revolting development in Five-Card Risk, you look like you need more dinero. So let's give each of you CY$750 more.
MATT
CY$1,950
MICHAEL
CY$750
IAN
CY$4,500
Doug: In this round, we put four categories on the True or False board. Each category has four questions -- and each question in the round is worth CY$750. So you each have a shot at an additional CY$3000 before we play the Final Risk.
Let's see the categories tonight.
WINE WOMEN HAND SONG (FF reveal sfx) (light laughter from the crowd)
Doug: Oh, how cute. Wine, Women, Hand, Song.
Wine and Women are each self-explanatory. In Hand, the category involves questions about card games and hands that you could be dealt in a particular card game.
Song involves questions about the lyrics of a particular song. We won't disclose the song's title -- until that category is either selected -- or is advanced to The Big Risk round. Michael, you're low man on the totem pole. You get first choice of category.
Michael: Even though I like the women -- (winks at Deej) -- I am going to choose "Song".
WINE WOMEN HAND Doug: Uh, OK. That -- makes -- sense. In any event, I hope you like the music of Billy Joel. Because the questions deal with his song, "We Didn't Start The Fire".
True or false: The TV game show "Jeopardy!" is mentioned in the lyrics to the song "We Didn't Start The Fire".
Michael: That's false.
Doug: "Wheel of Fortune".
True or false: The movie "Ben-Hur" is mentioned in the lyrics to the song "We Didn't Start The Fire".
Michael: That's true.
Doug: That is true.
True or false: The Edsel is mentioned in the lyrics to the song "We Didn't Start The Fire".
Michael: That's true.
Doug: Three for three. One more for the sweep.
True or false: Walt Disney World is mentioned in the lyrics to the song "We Didn't Start The Fire".
Michael: That's false.
Doug: Disneyland. Add three grand to Michael's total.
MATT
CY$1,950
MICHAEL
CY$3,750
IAN
CY$4,500
Doug: Matt, you control the board. Three categories left. Which would you like?
Matt: I will choose Hand.
WINE WOMEN Doug: Hand it is. Four questions about the hands you might get in card games are on the way...
True or false: In Hearts, the player who has the 2 of Diamonds in his hand starts the first trick.
Matt: False
Doug: The 2 of Clubs. Next question.
True or false: In Three Card Poker, the best possible hand is three of a kind.
Matt: True?
Doug: No, it's the Ace, King and Queen of the same suit for their version of a royal flush. Moving on.
True or false: If your Poker hand has two "ducks", it means you're holding a pair of 2s.
Matt: True
Doug: Indeed. You're 2 for 3. Let's see if you get 3 for 4.
True or false: In Contract Bridge, a hand starts by dealing out 13 cards to each player.
Matt: False?
Doug: Sorry, that's true. Two right for CY$1500 more.
MATT
CY$3,450
MICHAEL
CY$3,750
IAN
CY$4,500
Doug: Makes for a tight race for second. Ian, time again to pad that lead. Which of the two remaining categories would you like?
Ian: Wine
Doug: OK, the Women category will go to The Big Risk round. Time to serve up four questions on Wine.
True or false: An amateur wine maker is also known as a cooper.
Ian: False
Doug: Amateur is a garagista.
True or false: Napa Valley is considered one of the top wine regions in California.
Ian: True
Doug: Certainly is. Two-for-two.
True or false: A well-known TV weatherman served as host as "Al Roker's Wine Cellar" on HGTV.
Ian: True
Doug: Oh, no. Spencer Christian, once at "Good Morning America", hosted "Spencer Christian's Wine Cellar". Last one.
True or false: Dionysus was the Greek god of wine.
Ian: False?
Doug: No, that's true. Two-for-four.
MATT
CY$3,450
MICHAEL
CY$3,750
IAN
CY$6,000
Doug: All right, Ian, you boosted your score to CY$6000. Michael in second with CY$3750. Matt not far behind with CY$3450. This is the Final Risk -- your last chance to place a bet on a game of chance before The Big Risk round. Only two of you go on to The Big Risk round -- the third place player will be eliminated from the game.
Deej, let's hear about the Final Risk.
D.J.: Well, last season, this was known as Lights Out. This season...

D.J.: ...we put the 16 numbers on the video monitor and called them the Sweet Sixteen. In a moment, eight of these numbers will randomly disappear. It's your job to pick three of the numbers you think will *stay on the board* -- after eight other numbers disappear.
D.J.: If you pick 1 number that stays on the board, the payoff is one-to-one. Match 2 numbers that survive the cuts and the payoff is three-to-one. But if all three of your numbers stay on the board at the end, the payoff is five-to-one. If all of your selections disappear, you post a net loss of your wager.
Doug: All right. Minimum bet is CY$750 -- the max is "all in". Good luck, decide your bets and numbers carefully -- and place your bets.
(players lock in wagers and number selections)

CY$750Doug: And we're all locked in. Matt's betting 2450 on 3, 7 and 9. Michael's all in on 5, 6 and 8. What, no 12?
Michael: I apologize to Jill Manas for not picking 12.
Doug: Well, we'll see if those numbers work. Ian's going minimum again on 1, 2 and 4.
The interesting thing going into this -- everyone picked single-digit numbers and all the selections are different. Should be interesting.
D.J.: OK, the switch is in front of Harry. Flip that switch to make eight numbers disappear.
(DH flips big switch; numbers disappear at the rate of one per second and a half)
