Doug: Brief explanation of the rules. Each round starts with a series of true or false questions -- and ends with a game of chance. After three rounds, the top two players go on to The Big Risk round. The high scorer after The Big Risk round wins the game and goes on to play Go For The Gold for a possible CY$250,000.
Doug: Let's take a look at the true or false board.

Doug: Behind the letters in the word "TRUE" are cyber-money amounts from CY$200 to CY$500. Behind the letters in "FALSE" are the numbers 1-5 with no repeats. You'll choose one letter from each word -- and that determines how many questions you get to play and how much each question is worth.
Joseph, you're starting. But first, tell Mr. & Mrs. America and all the ships at sea a little something about yourself.
Joseph: I am from Montgomery Village, Maryland, and I work as a data processor for an IT company. Pleasure to be back here.
Doug: Great to have you back here. Pick two letters, please.
Joseph: I wish to start with the T and the S.
Doug: Your wish is our command. What's behind T?

Doug: Three. Chance to earn up to CY$1500.
True or false: Baskin Robbins once made ketchup ice cream.
Joseph: I think I recall them doing that...I say it's true.
Doug: Sounds disgusting but it's true. Next question.
True or false: Tug of War was an Olympic event.
Joseph: True.
Doug: Indeed it was. Last query.
True or false: New York City has papers named the Times, Post and Daily News.
Joseph: Definitely true!
Doug: And you've definitely added CY$1500 to your coffers.

CY$250
Doug: That means you'll take CY$1750 into the Dice Risk. Let's go to the new member of the panel and say hi to Matt.
Matt: I'm Matt Tanga, originally from Maryland also. I love playing sports, netgames, watching game shows, and also love the WWE!!!!
(wrestling fans in the audience cheer)
Doug: Apparently a few others in the crowd love the WWE, too. Pick a couple of letters for me, please.
Matt: I will choose the "E" in TRUE and "L" in FALSE.
Doug: OK, let's see the E in the top row.

Doug: Four. Chance to add CY$1000 to your total. Here come the questions.
True or false: Of all of your nails, the one on your thumb grows the slowest.
Matt: False
Doug: Nope, 'fraid that's true. Next query.
True or false: Woody Allen flunked a movie production course at the City College of New York.
Matt: True
Doug: That's true. Third question.
True or false: The Amazon is the world's deepest river.
Matt: Umm.....false?
Doug: (trying to impersonate Judge Judy) "Umm" is not an ansah.
Doug: But false is -- and that's right. Yangtze's the deepest. Last one.
True or false: Safari is the name of a perfume.
Matt: False?
Doug: No, that's true. Got two out of four -- giving you CY$500 more.

CY$750JOHN
CY$250
Doug: And you'll place up to CY$750 at risk -- after John takes a turn at the True or False board. Before you do, in case anyone hasn't seen you play, tell the good folks watching about yourself.
John: Hi Doug, I'm a student from Russellville, Arkansas. This is my third time on the show and so far I've won $18,700!
Doug: Indeed you have. Let's see if we can get you more. Pick a couple of letters for me.
John: I'll take U from true and A from false.
Doug: U -- A -- perhaps for University of Arkansas? In any event, let's see the U first.

Doug: Just a 1. Well, here it is to roughly double the score.
True or false: Costa Rica's currency is the colon.
John: True
Doug: That's right.
JOSEPH
CY$1,750MATT
CY$750JOHN
CY$550
Doug: Which begs the question -- if their dollars are colons, does that mean their pennies are semicolons? (audience groans) In any event, Joseph has 1750, Matt with 750 and John with 550. Deej, it's time for the first risk of the night.
D.J.: That's right, Doug. As always, the first round of the game features Dice Risk.
D.J.: And Joseph has the honor of setting the point for the dealer. Behind the numbered spaces are cards ranked between 4 and 10 inclusive -- with no repeats and no 7. Joseph, choose a numbered space.
Joseph: 1, please.
D.J.: Behind the first space, we find...
D.J.: ...a 9. That's the point our dealer has to make. And here's our dealer -- Dirty Harry!
Doug: Not as ugly as a whammy -- but much meaner.
(audience laughs) (DH gives Doug an ugly look)
D.J.: In any event, now that the dealer's point is set, Harry is going to roll a pair of standard dice up to seven times.
Before he rolls, if you think he'll make his point of 9, you'll want to bet on "PASS". If you think he'll fail and roll a 7 before matching the point, bet on "DON'T PASS". All correct predictions pay off at 1-to-1. Wrong predictions deduct the original amount of the wager from your score. If he doesn't roll a 7 or 9 after seven rolls, all bets result in a push -- meaning no win and no loss.
Doug: Now, this is the first round -- so the minimum bet is CY$250. You may take the big risk voluntarily and wager "all in". Whatever amount you bet, you must bet in increments of CY$50. So for the first time in the game, secretly lock in your wagers -- and place your bets.
(players lock in wagers)
