Doug: Let's say hello and thanks for waiting to -- Joseph Kristoff and Rick Morris. (audience cheers) We're going to start off by giving each player CY$250.
JOHN
CY$250JOSEPH
CY$250RICK
CY$250
Doug: Used to be fifty -- but, ya know, we thought we'd up the ante. You can win more with the help of our new True or False board.

Doug: Behind the letters in the word "TRUE" are different amounts ranging in value from CY$200 to CY$500. Behind the letters in "FALSE" are the numbers 1 through 5 with no repeats.
You'll each take a turn answering a series of true or false questions. The amount you play for on each question and the number of questions you get to play -- depend on your selection of letters. If you pick a letter in "TRUE" hiding CY$500 and one from "FALSE" hiding a 5, you get to play for a possible CY$2500.
Doug: After you've each taken possession of the True or False board, we'll go to the dice table and possibly increase your scores.
John, you're the champ. You'll start us off.
(time passes) (buzz buzz)
Doug: No selections in time. So here's what we do. We reveal the lowest number in each row.

Doug: And per those numbers, I give you one CY$200 question.
True or false: The oldest university in America is Yale.
John: False
Doug: It's Harvard and you're right.
JOHN
CY$450JOSEPH
CY$250RICK
CY$250
Doug: CY$450 to take into Dice Risk. Now, let's say hi to to your first challenger, Joseph.
Joseph: Well, Doug, I am from Montgomery Village, Maryland, and I work as a data processor for an advanced technology company.
Doug: OK, well, let's see what sort of data you can process on the True or False board. Pick two letters, please.
Joseph: T, please -- then E.
Doug: All right, let's see the T first.

Doug: ...two questions. Chance to take an extra CY$600 into the Dice Risk. Here we go.
True or false: The letters "GT" in the name of a car stand for Geared Traction.
Joseph: True?
Doug: No, they stand for Grand Tour. Next question.
True or false: T-fal is a maker of cookware.
Joseph: That's true.
Doug: That is true for CY$300 more.
JOHN
CY$450JOSEPH
CY$550RICK
CY$250
Doug: Joseph leads by 100 for the moment. But there are some big numbers waiting to be found and Rick Morris hopes to find 'em. Before he starts, we'll give him a chance to tell the Rick Morris story.
Rick: I'm from Spokane, WA, where I'm a school bus attendant, working with special needs children. In my spare time, I enjoy casino gaming, NASCAR and pro wrestling.
Doug: Well, casino gaming, you've come to the right place. NASCAR and rasslin' -- well, the sports guys in the VBS Action Newsroom might like to talk to you. (light laughter from the crowd) In any event, a couple of letters, please.
Rick: I feeling very vowely today. I'll take E & A.
Doug: E -- A -- Sports. It's in the game! (audience laughs) Behind the E.

Doug: Four. So a chance at an extra thousand cyber-bucks.
True or false: Alaska is the least populated state in America.
Rick: True
Doug: No, it's Wyoming. Next query.
True or false: You can find the cigarette lighter hall of fame in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Rick: False
Doug: I think the scribes made that one up. False is right.
True or false: "Sense and Sensibility" was written by Jane Austin.
Rick: True
Doug: Batting 2 for 3. Let's go for 3 for 4.
True or false: Wheaties was the first company to use a jingle in its radio advertising.
Rick: True
Doug: That's right for a total of CY$1000. (audience applause) So on the verge of the start of Dice Risk, Rick leads with a grand, Joseph has CY$550 and John with CY$450. BTW, for anyone who missed John's appearance on the last show, tell the folks about yourself, John.
John: It's good to be back Doug. Well like before, I'm a student from Russellville Arkansas who has already won CY$16,800 on the last show. And I'm hoping to win again today so I save up for college and hopefully get my first laptop.
Doug: Well, since you're the champ, you do have some say in tonight's Dice Risk. Deej tells us more.
D.J.: Thanks, Doug. All right, we're about to put Harry to work and John, you get to establish Harry's point. Behind the numbered spaces, we have cards from a special deck ranked from 4 to 10 with no duplicates and no 7. John, you're the champ -- so choose a number.
John: I'll take 6.
D.J.: Behind the number 6 there is...
D.J.: ...an 8. Now that makes Harry's point. In a moment, Harry will roll a standard pair of dice up to seven times. He'll stop when he makes his point of 8 -- or fails by rolling a 7.
If you think he'll make the point, bet on "PASS". If you think he'll fail, bet on "DON'T PASS". Correct wagers pay off at 1-to-1 and incorrect predictions deduct the original amount from your score. In case there's no 8 or 7 after seven rolls, all bets result in a push.
Doug: Minimum bet in this round is CY$250, the max is "all in" -- and you may bet in multiples of CY$50. So, good luck and place your bets.
(after Joseph locks in)
Judge Von Erik: Doug, we need another wager from Joseph. The minimum bet is CY$250 and he locked in CY$200.
Doug: OK, you heard the man. Need another bet.
JOHN
CY$200JOSEPH
CY$200RICK
CY$500DON'T PASS
CY$250DON'T PASS
CY$350PASS
CY$500Doug: OK, 350's fine. John's going minimum on "DON'T PASS", Joseph's bet is 350 on "DON'T PASS" and Rick's betting half on "PASS". Those are the bets. Back to the table.
D.J.: OK, we have two betting against you and one for you, Harry.
(Dirty Harry gives John and Joseph the evil eye) (light laughter from the crowd)
D.J.: Don't take it personally, John and Joseph. Roll 'em.

D.J.: Another double

D.J.: And *another* double -- but only Rick's happy to see this double 4 roll.
Doug: Double 4s make 8 -- and make Rick richer. We pay Rick another CY$500. John and Joseph finish this round tied at 200.
JOHN
CY$200JOSEPH
CY$200RICK
CY$1,500
("A Little Less Conversation" plays)
Doug: Rick enjoys the lead with CY$1500. We'll be back with more questions, more chances to earn cyber-money with the True or False board -- and of course, Five-Card Risk where these scores could *really* be big. The Big Risk comes back -- when you come back.
