Doug: And we're back on The Big Risk. Before we continue, let's get to know our players. You know the champ, Brian Moore, as the host of Net Hollywood Squares. Let's get to meet our challengers -- starting with Brian H.
Brian H.: Well I'm Brian A. Henegar from LaFollette, TN. I work for the home shopping company "Jewelry Television" (www.jewelrytelevision.com). I enjoy boxing, video games, writing, singing, Elvis, and to my special lady Karen, I LOVE YOU!
(ahhhhs from the audience)
Doug: Just curious, has the singer Jewel appeared on your network? (groans from the audience) How quickly they turn. And Dean, a word or two about you?
Dean: I'm Dean Scungio, I'm 29 and from Johnston, RI. I slave away as a Customer Service Representative for a major American bank. I am also the host of that hit 'Net Deal or No Deal.
Doug: Interesting, he assists a banker in one job and roots against a banker in another. Seriously, good luck at the bank, on NDOND and here on TBR. Let's see if all of our players have better luck in Round 2. Let's spot each of 'em CY$100 more.

Doug: And this round of questions plays like the last round -- only this time the questions are worth CY$100 each. Here we go.
Name Elton John's first hit song. Is it "Your Song" or "Crocodile Rock"?
Doug: Dean.
Dean: "Your Song."
Doug: That's the song.

Doug: Dean again.
Dean: The NBA.
Doug: We'll take that. National Basketball Association

(audience applause) (bells ring)
Doug: Those commonwealth states are Kentucky, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
Bell signals the midpoint in the round. Dean with 550, Brian H. with 400, Brian M. with just 100. But it was this round on the last show our champ turned a third place score into a huge lead. Can it happen again? We won't know -- until we know about the Five-Card Risk.
D.J.: OK, thanks Doug. Let's go ahead and reveal the theme of this round.
D.J.: In Between. Players, in this round, winning cards are ranked in between a 4 and a King inclusive. In a moment, you'll place a wager on the first card in the hope it's a 4, a King or somewhere in between.
If it's a winner, the payoff is 1-to-1 and then you get to decide if you want to freeze and protect your winnings or try and double what you just doubled.
The moment an Ace, 2 or 3 is turned over, the round is and any cyber-money you have at risk is gone -- meaning a net loss of your original wager. Also, be careful of Jokers -- they're also losing cards.
Doug: Now, the minimum bet is CY$100 and the max is all in; you still must wager in CY$50 increments.

Doug: Brian Moore, as for you, you only have CY$100. So we'll go ahead and put you "all in". As for the challengers, place your bets.

CY$1,000Doug: Gentlemen, it's decision time. You may freeze right now and protect your net gains -- or risk and try and double what you just doubled.
If you risk and the next card's a winner, Brian M.'s score will be up to at least CY$400, Brian H. will win CY$600 more and Dean will collect another thousand.
Freeze or risk?

Doug: Christmas may be weeks away -- but the Grinch came early in the form of the Ace of Diamonds. Well, on that unfortunate note, the round's over. And this rounded ended the way the last round did -- Brian H. with 100, Dean with 50 and the champ flat broke.
("A Little Less Conversation" plays)
Doug: Anything can happen in the Final Risk -- and fellers, if ya'll lose in the Final Risk again, I'll hold down Harry and let each of you deck him.
(audience laughs) (Harry shakes his fist at Doug)
Doug: Yeah, I'm talking about you. We're back with more of The Big Risk after this.
