Doug: We're back on The Big Risk. Good game as we enter Round 3. Not that they really need the extra fundage -- but we'll give each player CY$200 more to play with...

(DH stares at Doug) (audience laughs)

Doug: OK. Let's start the round with the questions...

"Nadia's Theme" is the theme song for what long-running TV daytime drama?

(Andy buzzes in)

Doug: Andy.

Andy: "The Young and the Restless"

Doug: Right. (audience applause) Andy up to four-grand. Next query...

In NASCAR, what does it mean when an official is waving the white flag?

(Andy buzzes in)

(audience applause) (bells ring)

Doug: And that means it's Final Risk time. Andy with a huge lead. Still a neck-and-neck battle for second. Remember, the player in last place is eliminated from the game. The others go on to the Lucky 7 Playoff. D.J. tells us all about the Final Risk.

D.J.: All right, gentlemen, we're playing Crazy 8...

D.J.: ...Dirty Harry's dealt the top card from a new deck of 52 playing cards. No Jokers this time. He's placed it face down to the number 8. In a moment, you'll place a wager as to whether you think the hole card is higher than, lower than or equal to the Crazy 8.

D.J.: As you can see over here, a correct wager pays off at 1-to-1. But if you bet on "Equal to 8" and the hole card's an 8, we pay you at 12-to-1.

Doug: Remember, the minimum bet is CY$200. You may go all in. You still must wager in CY$50 multiples. Good luck, decide carefully and place your bets.

Dave: For some reason, I'm thinking it's a King. On this sort of thing, I'm asking you to prove me wrong.

Doug: Well... calling your shot, aren't ya? Let's see if it is a King. Harry?

D.J.: Oh my goodness! A King!

Doug: ...you *just* missed getting in the playoff. Andy and Erskine go to the final round. (winning bells; audience applause) Dave, you played well and bet it right. If only we had a side bet where you could bet extra on what the exact rank of the hole card is, you'd be in the final round. However, you have CY$2200 and some nice parting gifts backstage. Big hand for Dave Adams.

(audience cheers) ("A Little Less Conversation" plays)

Doug: We gotta get the cards ready for the Lucky 7 Playoff. And when we shuffle 'em up, we'll start that playoff round. You're watching TBR on VBS.

(more cheers)
