(ding) (audience cheers)

Doug: Thanks, D.J. You've all been with us before, John, Andy and Robert. So, we'll just start with a series of toss-up questions.

Chime in with the right answer and you win another CY$50. But be careful -- because if you buzz in and give a wrong answer, each of your opponents score CY$50.

After the questions, we'll give you a chance to double your scores on a game of chance. Right now, hands on the buzzers, good luck and away we go with the questions...

As of today's typing, name the oldest living former President of the United States.

(John buzzes in)

Doug: John.

John: Gerald Ford

Doug: Just did beat Robert to the buzzer. You're right for CY$50.

What musical group, originally known as The MB Five, had hits with the song "Nights In White Satin"?

(John buzzes in)

Doug: And it's John.

John: The Moody Blues

Doug: Three for three.

On The Andy Griffith Show, Mayberry is located in what American state?

(Robert buzzes in)

Robert: North Carolina?

Doug: Good guess -- you're right.

(audience applause) (bells ring)

Doug: On that last question, we would've also accepted Woody Harrelson. (audience laughs) Just kidding. At the midway point in the round, John has CY$250, Andy with 150 and Robert 100. You know what's about to happen here. D.J. will refresh your memory.

D.J.: Indeed I will, Doug. Behind the numbers are the cards 4 through 10 with no duplicates and no 7. John, you get to choose a number and determine our dealer's point.

John: 6

D.J.: Behind #6 is...

D.J.: ...a 5. So, that's the magic number for our dealer -- Dirty Harry!

(DH enters to a chorus of boos)

Doug: Could be worse folks -- could be Hollywood Dave Stann!

(light laughter from the crowd)

D.J.: Sheesh. Anyway, Harry will roll the dice seven times or until he matches the point of 5 or fails by rolling a 7 -- whichever comes first. In a moment, you'll place a wager as to whether or not you think he'll make his point of 5 or not.

If you think he'll succeed in rolling a 5, bet on "PASS". If you think he'll fail and roll a 7, bet on "DON'T PASS". Correct wagers pay off at 1-to-1. Incorrect predictions deduct the amount of the wager and if he rolls seven times without a 7 or 5, all bets push.

Doug: BTW, Hollywood Dave faxed in an application after he lost King of Vegas.

D.J.: You're kidding.

Doug: Yeah, on the cover sheet, he noted he wanted to be the new dealer on this show as well as your fifth husband.

D.J.: When pigs fly!

(audience laughs)

Doug: Anyway players, remember the minimum bet in this round is CY$50. You may bet all in and you must wager in CY$50 increments. Good luck and place your bets.

(as players input bets...)

D.J.: Are you serious about Hollywood Dave wanting to work here at Channel 63?

Doug: Oh, yeah. Guess he's looking for work after Celebrity Blackjack. Truly one of GSN's better casino shows. Can't understand why there aren't any new episodes.

Doug: OK, enough yak-yak from me. Everyone's ready. John going minimum on "PASS", Andy's all in against Harry and Robert betting the minimum on "DON'T PASS". Let's go back to Harry and D.J.

(DH rolls)

D.J.: And his first roll's a 3.

D.J.: Double 2's -- a 4.

(bells ring)

D.J.: And that's a 7. The pessimists win.

(audience applause)
