Doug: And it's good to be back on The Big Risk. I'm Doug Morris along with D.J. Hamilton and our guest dealer, in her RockTrax farewell, Jess Harris. D.J. and Jess will tell guide us through the Five-Card Risk in a moment. But first, after a surprising end to the last round, our players need some extra moolah to play with. We'll start by giving them each CY$100 to start this second round.

Doug: And now, we'll play a series of toss-up questions worth CY$100 apiece. Hands on the buzzers and away we go...

Sissy Spacek played Loretta Lynn in the biographical movie Coal Miner's Daughter. Who played the part of Loretta Lynn's husband?

(Chris buzzes in)

Doug: Chris.

Chris: Tommy Lee Jones

Doug: Right for 100.

Doug: Former roommate of Al Gore, if I'm not mistaken. Let's test your sports knowledge, now.

In 1932, heavyweight fighter Max Schmeling lost a title fight by decision to Jack Sharkey. Name Schmeling's manager who exclaimed, "We was robbed!"

(time passes) (buzz)

Doug: Joe Jacobs was the manager. No one scored. We move on to music...

What "material girl" made her Broadway acting debut in "Speed the Plow"?

(Chris buzzes in)

Doug: Chris.

Chris: Madonna

Doug: Just did beat Dean to the buzzer. That's it.

Doug: Let's try another sports query...

In 1973, tennis star Billie Jean King won "the battle of the sexes" by defeating Bobby Riggs in straight sets at what famed sports venue?

(Chris buzzes in)

Doug: Chris again.

Chris: Houston Astrodome

Doug: Right again.

Doug: Chris is, dare I say, en fuego. Jay and Dean, hang in there. Next question..

New York's Philharmonic Hall has since been renamed A.F.H. What do the initials "A.F.H." stand for?

(Chris buzzes in)

Doug: Chris?

Chris: Avery Fisher Hall

Doug: Yes indeed.

Doug: Avery Fisher Hall -- wasn't he in The Breakfast Club?

D.J.: Um, you're thinking Anthony Michael Hall!

(audience laughs)

Doug: Well, let's see if you guys do better with this bit of movie trivia.

Which of these is not a subtitle for a Star Wars movie: "A New Hope", "Return of the Jedi" or "Attack of the Sith"?

(Chris buzzes in)

Doug: Yes, Chris.

Chris: Attack of the Sith

Doug: Got it again.

Doug: And with that, Chris nearly sweeps all the questions in this round. The champ leads with CY$650. Jay and Dean are hoping for much better luck with some cards. We now turn to the Mississippi girls to kick off this second half of the round.

D.J.: OK, Doug. I'm here with Jess and we're about to play the Five-Card Risk. During the break, Jess shuffled a deck of 54 cards, including two Jokers -- and also randomly drew the theme for the risk. Jess, what's the theme tonight?

Jess: Tonight, it's 21 or Bust.

(ding)

D.J.: Ah, a throwback to The Old Big Risk. Of course, it was before your time, Jess. (light laughter from the crowd) Anyway, Jess took the top five cards from the deck and accordingly placed one card behind each of the five numbered spaces.

Jess: In a moment, you'll place a wager on the first card and we'll flip it over. As long as it's not a Joker, the payoff is 1-to-1. The amount at risk will continue to double each time we don't flip over a Joker and the cards total less than 21. Like in normal Blackjack, Aces can be worth 1 or 11.

D.J.: In the event the cards total exactly 21, the round ends and you'll win 32 times your original wager. Further, if the first two cards total 21 for a blackjack, you'll win *64* times your original wager.

Jess: However, if a Joker comes up or the cards total more than 21 -- a "bust" -- the round ends and you post a net loss of your original wager. C'mon, guys, I really want you to win a lot this time.

Doug: Now, the minimum bet is this round is CY$100, max is "all in" and you still must bet in increments of 50...

Doug: Now, players, it's decision time. You may freeze and keep your net gains -- or try and double what you just doubled on the next card.

Since the total score on the board is 6, the only card that can hurt you is a Joker. So, if you risk and the second card's not a Joker, Chris will win CY$600 more and we'll pay the others CY$200 more.

So freeze or risk?

Doug: Well, a 3. Total so far of 9.
