HS Round 2 Question 7

Ryan: Gio, pick a square

Gio: Dana for the block

Ryan: Dean, To the nearest pound, how much did
General Tom Thumb weigh at birth?

Dean: Um...nine?

Cassie: I agree.

Ryan: Dana, Yoko Ono released a book in 1964. What is the title?

Dana: Before I answer, I’d like to say that, sitting in the middle of the
top row, I may not be called on again, so I’d like to take this
opportunity to express how proud I am to have been a part of this
operation for the last several years. You, VBS, Doug, RockTrax, and
everyone associated therewith has been great, and it’s been a joy
to contribute to NMG-HSH and other related endeavors.
Good luck to everyone in whatever else you’re involved.

(audience applause)

Dana: Now, to more important matters-at-hand…
Interesting question, Ryan –

Dana: Where is Chico when I could use his help on this one….?

(audience laughs)

Dana: I’m pretty sure it was named after a fruit. Given how sour her
voice sounds when she wails… I mean sings, and it sounds pretty
sour, like a lemon or yuzu, I think the book was similarly named.
I think the book was called “????????”, or Gurepufurutsu.

In English, that translates to “grapefruit”…or not. I guess that’s
for you to decide, but that’s my answer. And it may be my
final answer – time will tell.

Gio: Dana, if this will be your final answer, I will agree.

Ryan: It was Grapefruit. Circle gets the Block.

 (ding; audience applause)
