Well, friends, our farewell tour is underway. It begins with the last
episode of the longest running game here on the netgames list -- the
Net Match Game - Hollywood Squares Hour.

This journey was started by Ryan Morris back in 1998 -- when the real
MG and HS were revived. Charlie Pevey and James Lokay each preceded me as
Ryan's co-host. I was a guest on the panel at least a couple of times
and consulted on the web before becoming Ryan's third co-host.

We've all had fifteen great years -- and your support helped us get there.
Here's how NMG-HSH plans to go out with a bang.

\ First, our returning champion, Cassie Hikari, returns with CY$10,000.
She'll play the X's in Hollywood Squares. This qualifying round seeks
two challengers in Match Game -- one of whom will play against Cassie.

\ Since this is our final episode, we are relaxing the waiting period
a bit. If you were a runner-up in Match Game or Hollywood Squares
in our 52nd episode (respectively, Michael Clifford and Antonio Gray),
please sit this qualifying round out. Otherwise, you're welcome to give
this a shot.

\ Our final panel includes Brian Sapinski, Dean Scungio and Mystic Girl.
Jason Antoniewicz, Dana Epstein and Gordon Pepper will occupy the top
row in Hollywood Squares. And since we don't want to leave Chico Alexander
out before the bartender sounds the last call bell, he'll play Match
Game along with Brian, Dean, Mystic Girl, Ryan and Chad.

\ Evan Hatfield, our only entry in the now cancelled tournament of
champions, will join us near the end of this episode for a special
edition of the Super Match.

Now on to qualifying. The two players closest to the right answer,
high or low, get to play.

======================================================================

On October 8, 2011, at 1:00pm Central, we watched a rerun of "Family
Game Night" on The Hub. In this episode, how much was the train
crazy cash card worth? Please respond in increments of $5 in cash.

======================================================================

And let's see the right answer first.

(ding)

Yup. Five-five-five. We couldn't help but notice Todd didn't offer
the red family the money or a chance to spin again. Who's the closest?

Andy Silikovitz $555

Andy's spot on. Next closest?

Gio Montagnino $525

Me thinks he was previously known as John Montagnino. But we'll
go with Gio Montagnino.

Doug: Thanks, Glenn Bowman. Helloooooooo, everybody and welcome
to our final Net Match Game - Hollywood Squares Hour. Hello, stars.

Ryan: And hello to you at home. That's right, we're putting a bow
on top of an amazing 15-year run. Cassie Hikari is our returning
champion -- who will try add to her winnings of CY$10,000. We'll see
her later when we play Hollywood Squares.

Doug: And we're looking for a challenger for Cassie. It will be
one of our Match Game contestants. Ryan, we have a lot on the agenda.
Before this goes any further, I've enjoyed this amazing ride -- whether
as a guest, consultant for a website or co-host. (audience cheers)
One more time, let the games begin!

(more cheers) (Ryan and Doug shake hands) (Ryan sits in the Morris
chair on the panel) (Doug walks over to the Match Game desks)

Doug: And continue that enthusiasm for Andy Silikovitz and
Gio Montagnino.

(more cheers)

Doug: I think by now you know how to play. But we have a few changes
in plan for this Match Game. First, we're playing only two rounds
instead of three. (a few groans from the crowd) Well, we want to
save some time for something special at the end of our show -- or
at least we hope it will be special.

The other change -- no Grand Question tonight. So in lieu of a
Grand Question...

Doug: ...please accept CY$1000 from all of us to each of you.
(audience cheers) We all passed around a hat and *just* made
it to two thou before the show. (audience laughs) This grand
will count toward the final score. So the winner here could
end up winning more than CY$2000 -- and perhaps win much more
in Hollywood Squares and the Super Match.

(audience cheers) (Doug presses button on toaster revealing
Round 1 questions)
