MG Round 2 Question A
Doug: And we're back. Almost time to start Round 2 of Match Game. Before we start, let's take a moment to meet our challengers -- starting with Rick. Rick: I'm from Spokane, Washington. I work as a school bus attendant, dealing with special needs children. In my spare time, I love playing Munchkin and HeroClix. Doug: Sounds like you're doing rewarding work and having fun. Good to have you here -- and the same we say of Antonio. Tell us about yourself. Antonio: Hi, my name is Antonio from Wisconsin. Currently, I'm working on two podcasts which should coming in the future. like game shows and wrestling. Doug: Another good range of interests -- and good luck with the podcasts. (Doug pushes button on toaster revealing Round 2 questions)
Doug: All right -- normally the leader goes first. But we have a scoreless tie. Since Rick went first in Round 1, Antonio, you get to start Round 2 by picking A or B. Antonio: I'll pick A for Antonio. Doug: (grabs A; walks to panel) A for Antonio -- or for at least two of our stars, A is for anime. Since we're scoreless, all six stars play both questions in the round. Here's the first query of said round. Bill the bachelor said, "You'd think I'd had fun last night with the farmer's daughter. Sure, she was cute. But during our date, she wouldn't stop talking about << BLANK >>." (a few laughs from the crowd) (think music plays) Doug: Say, while the stars are responding to Question A, Dusty, where and when can we see Anime Family Feud? Dusty: "A" definitely stands for anime in my neck of the woods! There's a new episode of Feud in the works, along with some other panels and fun stuff for the next con up in Sandusky, called Colossalcon. Doug: Oh that should be fun. Y'all have fun in Sandusky. And we'll talk about Anime Trivia Trap with Brent in the next half of the round.
Doug: All right, Antonio, they're ready. Question again. Bill the bachelor said, "You'd think I'd had fun last night with the farmer's daughter. Sure, she was cute. But during our date, she wouldn't stop talking about << BLANK >>." Antonio: Farming. (a few applaud; lots in the crowd groan) Doug: Well -- it's a logical answer -- but I'm afraid too general. But let's see what our group thought of -- starting with Brent. Brent: Gotta love them there farm girls! This one couldn't stop talking about her daddy's (card) TRACTOR. (buzz) (a few laughs from the crowd) Doug: Almost sounds like a Kenny Chesney song. Anyhoo, let's see what came to Chad's mind. Chad: This, uh, may be inappropriate... [HER HOES] (buzz) (audience laughs and applauds) Doug: Ahhh -- now that's clever. Dusty, do you offer "farming"? Dusty: Poor Bill. I thought for a long time about this one, and much like another Reilly who normally occupied the upper-right chair on Match Game, it took a little while for inspiration to strike! +----+ |HER | |COWS| +----+ (buzz) (a few laughs and scattered applause) Doug: She was milking it for all it's worth. (audience groans) Free coffee and donuts we give you -- and this is the thanks we get? (a few laughs from the crowd) Over to Ryan. Bill the bachelor said, "You'd think I'd had fun last night with the farmer's daughter. Sure, she was cute. But during our date, she wouldn't stop talking about farming," according to Antonio. What, according to you? Ryan: (card) +==============+ | Milking Cows | +==============+ (buzz) (scattered applause) Doug: Yeah -- we can't match things associated with farming and a chore with the answer of "farming". But we've still got two more to go. Joe? Joe: I went a different direction, Doug. For a farmer's daughter to turn me off, she'd have to talk about nothing but... +-----+ |BULL | |SEMEN| +-----+ (buzz) (a few "ewwws" and laughs from the crowd) Doug: Our apologies for those of you eating dinner. And Tom, wrap this up for us. Tom: I'll go with the agricultural terminology... MANURE (buzz)) (a few "ewwws" and laughs from the crowd) Doug: Again -- our apologies for those of you eating dinner. (a few more laughs from the crowd)
