MG Round 3 Question B

Doug: Welcome back. Let's find us a winner in Match Game.

(Doug pushes button on toaster revealing Round 3 questions)

Doug: Michael, you're still the leader. You may pick A or B.

Michael: I will go with B again.

Doug: (grabs B; walks to panel) Staying with B. Very well.

Doug: Grand question's come and gone. So we'll ask Chad and Brian
to lay out while the rest of you play this.

Confucius say, "Man who run behind moving car end up << BRANK >>."

(audience laughs) (think music plays)

Doug: And we're all set. Michael, question again.

Confucius say, "Man who run behind moving car end up << BRANK >>."

Michael: I don't get the pun here. I'm going to say "tailgating".

(loud groans from the crowd)

Doug: (in Confucius character) Confucius say -- you'll be getting
crash course in Pun-upmanship 101 very shortly, young grasshopper.

(audience laughs)

Doug: Well -- let's review. Tom, by some miracle did you think
of tailgating?

Tom: Confucius is very old and very wise. At his age, Confucius
knows he'd be (card) RUNNING OUT OF GAS!

(buzz) (audience cheers)

Doug: There ya go. Logical answer. Chris?

Chris: (in Confucius character) Ha-so! Why you-a keep picking on
Confucius-aru?

(audience laughs)

Doug: (in Confucius character) I no make fun of wise words of

Doug: Exhausted again. And -- ya know -- (audience laughs) --
the way Dusty's been playing -- (more laughs) -- *maybe* he'll
come up with "tailgating". Dusty, show and tell.

Dusty: I've taken my meds. I'm feeling better. And Confucius
say that man who runs behind moving car ends up...

(buzz) (scattered applause)

Doug: Judge, I almost hate to ask this. "Exhausted" is the
definitive answer -- but would "out of gas" and "tired" have
been close enough to match "exhausted"?

(ding)

Doug: They're all synonymous with fatigue and automobiles.
Well -- there ya go.

Michael's response: TAILGATING

Doug: Well -- Michael, you stay at two matches and CY$200. Dom,
you'll have the services of all six stars on the next question.
Match any two of them and we play a tie-breaker. Match more than
two and you're playing against Evan in Hollywood Squares.
