HS Round 1 Question 1

Ryan: Evan, you're the champion, so you go first. Pick a square.

Evan: Chad in the center.

 

 

Ryan: Chad, who needs Jim Cantore when you can have a pine cone to 
predict the weather?  When the scales of a pine cone close, does that mean
today will be a sunny day -- or does it mean rain's on the way?

Chad: It's uh, actually pine cone shrinkage. It should probably see a 
doctor to get some pills or something.

(audience laughs)

Chad: The scales are closing, they're blocking out the rain. Rain is
on the way.

Evan: I agree!

Ryan: It mean's rain is on the way. X gets the Square.

 

 

(ding; audience applause)

Ryan: I just realized that I forgot to mention that Game 1 
is worth Cy$2,000 and each square is worth Cy$500. 
Now, let's get back to the game.
