MG Round 3 Question B
Doug: (grabs B; walks to panel) Once again, Ryan sits this out since he and Michael matched on a Round 1 question. For everyone else, here's the assignment. Confucius say, "Seven consecutive days without rest make one << BRANK >>." (audience laughs) (think music plays)
Doug: All right, they're set. Michael, score 2 points on this question, we go to a tie-breaker. Score 3 or more, you clinch a berth in the finals. Anything short of 2 and Matt goes to the Squares. Question again... Confucius say, "Seven consecutive days without rest make one << BRANK >>." Michael: First off, I would like to say hi to VBS Standards & Practices. Hi guys! (waves at camera) (audience laughs) Doug: As I alluded to earlier, they can't wait to hear your answer. Michael: I will go with the definitive answer -- weak. (audience cheers) Doug: There's the answer. Ryan: If I were playing -- I'd say weak. Doug: There ya go. Well, the hosts are in agreement with you, Michael. Now you just have to hope three other folks over here *came to there senses* -- (audience laughs) -- and said weak. Jay? Jay: I went with the pun here -- [WEAK] (ding; audience applause) Doug: And just like that, you're a match away from a tie. Chad. Chad: Okay, I know I've got *this* one... [WEAK] (ding; audience applause) Doug: Tie game. Now then... the next celebrity who wrote down "weak" means a win for Michael Clifford in the semi- finals. Chris, please show and tell. Chris: (fake Chinese accent) Oh, seven day a-no lest make a-won... +-------+ | WEEK/ | | WEAK | +-------+ Chris: ...-aru. (dings; MG-HSH win music plays; audience applause) Doug: That's a match. That's a win for Michael.
(Matt and Michael shake hands) (MG variant plays) Doug: What did the rest of you have?
WEAK | WEAK | WEEK/WEAK
(match in R1) | WEAK | TIREDMichael's answer: WEAK
Doug: Not sure if "tired" would've matched "weak" -- but Michael, you definitely score the minimum three matches in this round to clinch the win. That win just added CY$25,000 to your winnings -- which now add up to CY$102,500. (audience cheers) Please join me over here -- and take your place right there on the blue dot. Matt, sorry you're not going to the finals. But I sure hope you had fun during your reign and here in the semis. We just gave you CY$10,000 as a consolation prize. Better than the used tin cans we'd normally give as consolation. (a few laughs from the crowd) Doug: All totaled -- CY$114,500. A nice hand for Matt Taylor.
