(audience cheers) (Doug presses button revealing Round 1 questions
on the toaster)

Doug: William, you won the right to go first.  I have two questions
here -- marked A and B.  Pick one and we'll get the party started
for real. 

William: I'll pick B

 

 

Doug: (grabs B; walks to panel) B for William and we're off and
running.

Little Rotten Rodney is *so* rotten...

Everyone else in unison: HOW ROTTEN IS HE!?!?!?

Doug: ...he ruined the playroom for all the kids when he replaced 
the balls in the ball pit with << BLANK >> balls.

(audience laughs)  (think music plays) 

 

(stars write) 
 

 

Doug: This oughta be a fun start to the show.  William they're
ready.  Here's the question again.

Little Rotten Rodney is *so* rotten, he ruined the playroom for all 
the kids when he replaced the balls in the ball pit with << BLANK >> 
balls.

William: Hmmm. Gee so many, even dirty ones.  So I guess uhm -- Moth Balls.

(scattered applause)

Doug: Not a bad answer.  There's one *really* evil answer if you think
about it.  But let's start comparing answers with the new member of the
group.  Carrie, what did you think of?

Carrie: I'm going to have to say (card) Moth balls.  Final answer.  
Oh, wait.

(ding) (audience laughs and applauds)

Doug: Despite the mix-up in shows, Carrie and William are off to a great
start.  One answer, one match.  Chad, do you make it two?

Chad: At least this way the ball pit will be around for a while.

[ MOTH BALLS ]

(ding; audience applause)

Doug: Hey now!  Two-for-two.   Tammy, do you make it three-for-three?

Tammy: I had two answers in mind, but knowing Rotten Rodney, I'd say SPIT BALLS.

(buzz) (audience laughs)

Doug: No match -- but funny.  Let's join Ryan down here.  Little Rotten Rodney
is *so* rotten, he ruined the playroom for all the kids when he replaced the

Ryan: It took a really long time but he replaced them with...

Brian: Rodney probably had a very bad day at the alley, so he put in the...

[BOWLING]

Brian: ...balls.

(buzz) (audience laughs)

Doug: Now *that* was my answer.  Bowling balls.  Will, wrap this up for us.

Will: You know, I had a great answer in mind, but I don't think it'd get 
past the censors.   So I went with [BOWLING] balls.

(buzz) (audience laughs)

Doug: Great answers all around.  But this is interesting.  I've done
this for about 11 years now.  And I can't recall a situation where
the first two panelists matched each other, then the next two matched
each other and the last two came up with the same answer.
