MG Round 2 Question A

 

 

Doug: (grabs A; walks to panel)  This time, everyone on the panel
plays since Robert's yet to score. 

Dumb Donald is SO dumb...

Everyone else in unison: HOW DUMB IS HE?!?!!?!?

Doug: ...he went to a "Star Trek" convention and asked, "Where are 
the << BLANKS >>?"

(think music plays) (light laughter from the crowd)

 

 

 

 

  

Doug: And they're all set.  Robert, here's the query again.

Dumb Donald is SO dumb, he went to a "Star Trek" convention 
and asked, "Where are the << BLANKS >>?"

Robert: Stars.

(audience boos)

Doug: I think I figured out the problem.  You're looking
for Net Scattergories.  (audience laughs)  They tape just
down the hall over there.

All kidding aside, I do see some logic with that answer -- 
and make up your own Mr. Spock reference.  But let's see 
what the panel came up with -- starting with Dan.  

Dane: This would sound kind of out there, but this IS 
Dumb Donald we're talking about here - so what's a Star Trek 
convention without...

(buzz) (audience boos)

Doug: (to audience) Are you guys being treated for depression?
(audience laughs) Maybe not.  Chad?

Chad: Gotta be...

[WOOKIES]

(buzz) (audience cheers)

Doug: *There's* the idea.  Unintentionally ties in with Steve's
thinking in his half of the round.  He goes to a "Star Trek"
convention and confuses it with another sci-fi franchise.
Jay, was that where your thinking was?

Jay: Well, I talked to Dumb Donald after this, and he indeed
confused "Star Trek" with "Star Wars".  He wanted to know where 
the [Stormtroopers] were!

(buzz) (more cheers)

Doug: More "Star Wars" references.  Let's come on down to
Ryan. Dumb Donald is SO dumb, he went to a "Star Trek" convention 
and asked, "Where are the ...?"

Ryan: (card)

Doug: Another good thought.  Now Dusty, by chance did you recycle
your card and keep "Jabba"?

(Dusty shakes head "no")

Doug: What did you say then?

Dusty: Sadly, Donald will not get to see the 501st Regiment's newest project 
- their own interpretation of "Swan Lake."
