MG Round 2 Question B

Doug: And we're back on the Net Mad Dash - Video Village Hour.
(audience laughs) Hey, before we start Round 2, let's meet our
players -- starting with the leader, Matt.

Matt: I'm Matt Taylor three years out of college now and working
for a hotel company in Maine.

Doug: Continued good luck working for the hotel -- and here in
the game. Jerry, we'll wish you good luck as well -- as you
could use some luck on your side. You have a bagel on the board,
as it were. Tell Mr. & Mrs. Internet and all the ships at sea
something about you.

Jerry: I'm Jerry Depew, a college student currently living in
Croydon, PA. I like video games and game shows, among other
things -- and avid viewers of this show may recall my appearance
on this show's panel years ago.

Doug: Ah, yes, I remember one question involving things contestants
on "Survivor: The Australian Outback" would eat, one panelist
said "Jerri" with an I, as in Jerri Manthey -- and we had to assure
you they weren't eating you.

(audience laughs)

(Doug presses button on toaster revealing Round 2 questions)

Doug: Jerry wants to take a bite into Matt's lead. But since Matt
has the lead, he picks first. A or B?

Matt: B.

(Doug grabs B) (fanfare sounds; audience cheers)

Doug: Oh, good thing you did, Matt. That's our Grand Question.
Here's how it work. Both Matt and Jerry will respond to this
question -- and in this situation, they're trying to match
Chad Mosher. A match pays a bonus of CY$1000. (audience cheers)
But remember, this bonus does not apply to the score of the
game -- and after we sort out the CY$1000 payoff, we score as
normal for Matt.

Doug: Meantime, Chad, Mark and Nick will play this question,
the others lay out.

Chuck Norris said, "The folks who come up with these so-called
facts about me need to get their facts straight. I didn't
trademark name my legs Law and Order. The truth is I named
my << BLANKS >> Law and Order."

(audience laughs)

 (think music plays)

(stars write)

Ryan V.: I can't believe I am going to miss the L&O question.
I'm a massive fan!

Doug: Well, hang in there. You've got the next half of the
round to look forward to.

Mark: Did Chuck Norris write that question, Doug?

Doug: If I had to guess -- no. He'd probably have someone
else do the writing and if that someone else didn't meet
the deadline... well... I'd hate to find out the consequences.

(light laughter from the crowd)

Doug: Waiting on Mr. Nick to get in there.

Nick: (while writing) I'm so tempted to give an answer that
might warrant the use of OOPS!

Doug: Oh, please don't. Our censor's on vacation.

(light laughter from the crowd)

Doug: All right, now they're set. Here again is the grand
question.

Chuck Norris said, "The folks who come up with these so-called
facts about me need to get their facts straight. I didn't
trademark name my legs Law and Order. The truth is I named
my << BLANKS >> Law and Order."

Matt, I'll call for your answer first -- since this is your
normal half of the round.

Matt: Fists.

(audience cheers)

Doug: They seem to like that answer. Jerry, you may go
with that or something else.

Jerry: A few interesting answers but I'm going with arms.

(a few claps, lots of groans from the crowd)

Doug: They seem to not like that answer. Chad, for
CY$1000, did you say "fists", "arms" or something else?

Chad: It would make sense to me if he gave the names Law
and Order to his...

[ FISTS ]

(dings; MG-HSH shorter win music plays; audience applause)

Doug: And that gives Matt the extra thou.

Doug: Not only that, it also bumps his score for Match Game
up to four matches and CY$400. Now, back to normal scoring.
Mark, do you make it five matches and 500?

Mark: Well, I thought at first he would name his knuckles
Law and Order. But then I thought maybe he would trademark his
(flip) FIRST AND LAST NAME Law and Order.

(audience laughs) (buzz)

Doug: "Walker: Texas Ranger" starring Law Order. (more laughs)
Interesting -- but no match. Nick?

Nick: I'm going to take the high road and give an unfunny answer...

(ding; audience applause)

Doug: Matt's glad you went there.

(match in R1) | FISTS | FIRST AND LAST NAME
(match in R1) | (match in R1) | FISTS

Matt's response: FISTS

Doug: Matt's had a great night so far. A CY$1000 bonus, five matches
so far. Jerry, you've got a whole lotta nuttin'. Let's see if you
can turn nuttin' into somethin'.
