Welcome to the first NMG-HSH of 2008. The Net Match Game - Hollywood
Squares Hour turns ten years old this year -- and we couldn't have made
it this far this long without you. We thank you for being part of it
-- and especially thank you for your patience during our extended
holiday break.

Some notes are in order...

\ Chad Mosher is our current champion -- building on one win and
CY$47,400. He'll play the X's in the Hollywood Squares part of the
game.

\ We welcome to the panel Troy Diggs, Will Schmarder and Alan Timper
-- as well as a first-timer in Tim Conolly. "Loogaroo" operates
LoogsLair.net -- home of Buried Treasure, Luck of the Draw and other
fun game show stuff.

\ Our qualifying round seeks just two players -- so the two players
closest to the right answer, high or low, get to play. Can't remember
when you played? Please check out this website...
http://www.traxproductions.net/nmghsh/whowhen.htm

...now, on to the qualifying question. The two players closest to
the right answer, high or low, play Match Game with the winner going to
Hollywood Squares to face the champ. And away we go...

On October 7, 2007, at 9:00am Central, we watched a GSN rerun of
"Family Feud", which originally aired on ABC. Two players from the
winning team in this episode didn't reach their goal of 200 points in
Fast Money. How much money did they receive as a consolation? Please
respond to the nearest multiple of $5.

(time passes)

And we're done. The two players turned in a combined score of 188 --
at five dollars a point -- total of...

(ding)

...940 bucks. Who's the closest?

Steve Michaels $950

Hey, sharp shootin', Tex. Only missed by ten. Next closest?

John Montagnino $895

New kid in town with John Montagnino! He's tried many times before
-- but now is in the game. NMG-HSH is next.

======================================================================

Ten years have been filled with fun and games on The Net Match Game -
Hollywood Squares Hour. While we've certainly had fun, there are two
people close to us that we lost too soon.

We dedicate these ten years of The Net Match Game - Hollywood Squares
Hour -- to Randy Amasia and Cindy Morris.

(NMG-HSH sign rises; MG-esque doors open; Ryan and Doug are
welcomed to an ecstatic crowd, walk down the stairs, shake hands)

Doug: Thanks, Rich and helloooooooo, everybody and welcome to
another Net Match Game - Hollywood Squares Hour. Hello, stars.

Panel: (basically in unison) Hello, Ryan and Doug.

Ryan: On the last show, Chad Mosher became our new champion
and won more than CY$47,000. He's back for much more.

Doug: And there are two people over here who want to stop his
winning ways. Welcome to Year 10 of NMG-HSH!

(audience cheers) (Ryan and Doug shake hands) (Ryan walks over
to "the Morris chair" among the panel) (Doug walks over to the
Match Game players' desks)

Doug: And we're starting Match Game with Steve Michaels and
John Montagnino.

(audience cheers)

Doug: We've been around for a decade -- but for anyone who hasn't
seen us -- first of all, where *have* you been? (audience laughs)
In this part of the show, the object is to match as many...

Doug: ...of these members of the Drew Crew as you possibly can.

(light laughter from the crowd)

Doug: Each time you match a panelist, you win CY$100. Match
everyone and your total goes up to CY$1000.

The player who scores more matches after Round 3 wins the game,
another CY$500, and plays against our champ in Hollywood Squares
for tens of thousands more.
