Hi folks, Time to seek two challengers in the Net Match Game - Hollywood Squares Hour. Michael Clifford is our returning champion with two wins and CY$22,500. He'll have to win Hollywood Squares in order to become the third player in our Champions' Special. Speaking of which, we're throwing in a reality-show-esque twist. Two of the panelists for this episode are Andy Geller and John Menjes -- the two people already qualified for said tournament. Also joining them and our usual suspects is Alex Davis from BuzzerBlog.com and Chad Mosher, a first runner-up in a kids' week episode of "Jeopardy!" To get in Match Game, please respond to the qualifying question with the following... \ Your name \ Your e-mail address that you wish for the hosts to send you NMG-HSH-related e-mail \ A sentence or two about yourself (like real game shows) \ Your answer to this qualifying question... Before the show, I played Ryan's "Deal or No Deal" game from Basic Games. How much virtual money did I win? Some hints... \ I played the "standard" board with amounts ranging from one penny to $1,000,000. \ I didn't end up winning the penny -- so please express your answer to the nearest dollar. (time passes) Well, I was down to four amounts left on the board -- $25, $500, $5000 and $400,000. Upon the advice of my wife, I chickened out and took the banker's offer of...
(ding) ...$91,000. We'll get to who plays Match Game in a bit, but first, a "what if?" note. If I played on, I eliminated a case worth $5000 -- which would've driven the banker's offer up to 126-grand (ugh!). Next selection of case -- revealed $400,000. At the end of the game, I sold a $25 case for 91-grand and made a great deal. Now, who will be dealing with in Match Game? Joseph Bohan $ 88,000 It's Joseph Bohan with 88-grand. Nice work. Joseph, you'll play against... Mat Tanga $ 99,000 ...Mat Tanga for the right to advance to Hollywood Squares. Two first-time players battle it out in Match Game. ====================================================================== Rich Jeffries: "Time Machine Sends John Davidson To The Dinosaur Era" (audience laughs) will not be seen at this time. And do we have a worthy replacement? You bet jurassic! ======================================================================Rich:

dougMORRIS(NMG-HSH sign rises; MG-esque doors open; Ryan and Doug are welcomed to an ecstatic crowd, walk down the stairs, shake hands) Doug: I thank you, Rich. Helloooooooo, everybody and welcome to the Net Match Game - Hollywood Squares Hour. Hello, stars and champions.
Panel: (basically in unison) Hello, Ryan and Doug. Ryan: A warm welcome to the newcomers -- both on the bottom row. Alex Davis and Chad Mosher. (audience cheers) (two-shot of Alex and Chad, who wave to the crowd) Doug: Alex does a great job with BuzzerBlog.com. It's one of my first reads of the day. That and GameShowNewsNet.com -- speaking of which, we'll meet its chairman, Chico Alexander, later in Hollywood Squares. And we thought we'd throw in a realty-show-like twist. With Michael Clifford attempting to qualify for our third champions' special, we invited the two other players already in that tourney, Andy Geller and John Menjes. So, let's start the fun. Ryan: All right! (audience cheers) (Ryan and Doug shake hands) (Ryan walks over to "the Morris chair" among the panel) (Doug walks over to the Match Game players' desks) Doug: And our challengers tonight are two people new to NMG-HSH. Joseph Bohan and Mat Tanga.
Doug: Since this is your first time playing, let me explain that we'll play a series of fill in the blank questions. Your objective is to match as many...
Doug: ...of these former residents of the "Unan1mous" bunker as you possibly can. (light laughter from the crowd) Each time you match a panelist, you win CY$100. Match everyone and your total goes up to CY$1000. The player who scores more matches after Round 3 wins the game, another CY$500, and plays against our champ, Michael Clifford, in Hollywood Squares for thousands more.MG ROUND 1 BEGINS
