(Justin, our NMG-HSH director, puts this disclaimer crawl, much like 

the crawls you see on the major cable news channels, on screen: "A 

previous Match Game tie-breaker in this episode ended in a tie in of 

itself.  We've edited out that tie-breaker from our program.")



Doug: OK, everyone, here's how we break this tie.  We start with 

our stars writing down answers to this tie-breaker question.  

Stars, the tie-break question is "The San Francisco << BLANK >>".  



(panelists write down their responses)  



Doug: Now, John and Steve while they write down their responses, 

please look at your secret screens.  Those of you watching us at 

home will get to see this, too.

Doug: There's the tie-breaker question again.  Below that question,

you see four different answers that fill in the blank.  You'll each 

pick one answer.  Then, we'll check the answers from the panel.

Player with more points at the end of the tie-breaker wins Match 

Game, CY$500 for winning the game and the right to play Hollywood 

Squares against Rick Morris.  John, since you went first in Round 1,

Doug: OK, you're locked in.  The stars have their answers ready.

Remember, if you end up matching four stars, there'd be no way

Ethan: Since we're so close to baseball season. The San Francisco 

GIANTS.

Doug: And that's one point for John; #3 was Giants. Jay, over to you.



Jay: GIANTS



(ding)



Doug: That's two for John.  Joe?



Joe: Treat



Doug: That was one of the choices we offered -- but neither John nor

Steve picked that answer.  Still 2-0 in John's favor.  Ryan, your

answer please.



Ryan: 49'ers



(ding)



Doug: That was Steve's answer.  With that said, Steve, you'll need

to match Matt and Eddie to win.  If you match Matt or Eddie, we'll

play another tie-breaker.  Matt?



Matt: TREAT!



Doug: Another Rice-A-Roni answer.  It comes down to Eddie.  Does

John win or do we go to another tie-breaker?



Eddie: A number of things come to mind there.  Sorry, Steve, I

went with the one that would be familiar to fans of the old
