TGoJS: And once again, here's Doug Morris.

Doug: And welcome back. As we've mentioned, on the last show, Andy
Geller was the challenger on Hollywood Squares and there was a
technical difficulty during gameplay. That could've had an effect on
the outcome of that game of HS. Since the then-champion retired
undefeated, we're letting Andy assume the champion's role and we're
also giving him a chance to play his own endgame before playing
Hollywood Squares. So, Andy, come on over and let's see if you can
win CY$50,000.

(audience cheers) (Andy runs up to the stage) (he and Doug shake hands)

Doug: Welcome back, Andy. We're genuinely sorry for what happened the
last time. But, I think you're happy with how we're making it up to
you. Incidentally, had this happened when the champion was *not*
playing for his third straight win in HS, we would've let both players
compete in individual super matches and then they'd play in the next HS
with some kind of MG before that. But anyhoo, let's concentrate on the
present. First, tells us a little about yourself.

Andy: I am orginally from NYC, now living in Sunny South Florida. I
am single, and I am a Stock Broker. I am am a die-hard Game Show fan,
but that should not be a big surprise !

Doug: It's certainly no surprise. Andy, on the last show, you won
CY$18,000. That plus whatever you win in this super match will count
toward your tournament score -- provided *you* reach the super match
three times. And this counts as your first trip to the super match.
So, now that we all now what's at stake, let's play. We start with
the audience match as usual. We surveyed an internet audience and
got their best response to this. Slide it, Earl...

_______NAVY
(ding)

Doug: << BLANK>> Navy. Andy, if you can match the number one
answer in the poll, you'll win the CY$1000. The second most
popular answer pays CY$500 and the third is worth CY$250.

Doug: You may pick three of these nine stars for help.

Andy: I will take Jay Lewis.

Doug: Jay, what are you thinking? << BLANK >> Navy?

Jay: They want *YOU* Doug... IN THE NAVY

(audience applause)

Doug: OK, there's one.

Andy: Ryan Morris

Ryan: U.S.

(audience applause)

Doug: U.S. Navy. By the way, if "United States Navy" ends up in the
top three, that matches "U.S. Navy". Seems obvious -- but just thought
I'd state that for the record. Plus, they pay me by the word 'round
here. (audience laughs) One more star, please.

Andy: Tom Sabbatelli

Tom: Let's try "McHale's Navy".

(audience applause)

Doug: And there's three. In The Navy -- U.S. Navy or United States Navy
-- McHale's Navy. You may pick any of those or go on your own.

Andy: My first thought was McHale's Navy, and I am going to go with Tom
and that answer. Let's hope it was a good choice !

(audience applause) (Tom crosses fingers)

Doug: Well, "McHale's" was my initial thought, too. So, we'll see
what develops. First, let's reveal what came in third place...

_______NAVY
McHALE'S/U.S.
(dings; audience applause; MG-HSH win music plays)

Doug: Wow! That was quick. McHale's tied with U.S. for a CY$250
payoff. Let's see what was the CY$500 answer...

_______NAVY
IN THE
McHALE'S/U.S.
(ding)
Doug: In The Navy. Jay's answer. Well, what do you think's
on top, folks? (various members shout out "OLD") Old Navy,
oh my goodness. I never thought of that. I bet that's it.
Slide it, Earl.

_______NAVY
OLD
IN THE
McHALE'S/U.S.
(ding)

Doug: There ya go. (audience cheers) There's no Old Navy store
where I live -- so that probably explains why it never came to mind.
