Super Match:
Audience Match
[NOTE FROM DOUG: For this super match, we're using an audience match
question from a previous episode. The question originally aired in
May of 2001 -- but its results were never released due to a player's
missed deadline. So, there's no audience survey for this episode, but
look for one when we return to regular play.]

(audience applauds; MG-HSH music plays)
The Ghost of Jay Stewart: And now, here to play the new CY$50,000
super match is our champion Greg Diener -- with Doug Morris.
(audience cheers)
Doug: Thank you, ghost of Jay Stewart and how about one more big
hand for the grand champion, Greg Diener! (more cheers) This is the
first time you and I have worked a super match. And this marks the
debut, as Jay said, of the 50-grand super match. It starts like we
usually do with the audience match.
We polled a previous internet audience and got their best response
to this. Earl, slide it please.

(ding)
Doug: Mouse << BLANK >>. Greg, just as before, the number one answer
in that poll pays CY$1000, the second most popular answer is worth CY$500
and the third is worth CY$250. If you win CY$1000, it's mathematically
possible for the head-to-head bank to swell to CY$50,000. I'll talk more
about that later. Right now, let's concentrate on winning a grand with...

Doug: ... the help of three of our stars.
Greg: Jay.
Doug: Jay, how do you fill in the blank?
Jay: mouse PAD
(audience applause)
Greg: Justin
Justin: Mouse Trap
(audience cheers)
Doug: OK, Greg, one more.
Greg: Mystic Girl
Doug: Say, since Stephanie had that mishap with the pizza dough, does
that mean we can call her Mystic Pizza? (audience boos) Nevermind.
Mystic *Girl*, I know third's tough. But, we need your response,
please.
Mystic Girl: Mouse hole
(audience applause)
Doug: OK, Greg, there's three. Mouse pad, mouse trap and mouse hole.
As you know, you can take any of their suggestions -- or forget about
it all and come up with an answer of your. What's your pleasure?
Greg: Trap.
(audience cheers) (Justin crosses his fingers)
Doug: This crowd seems to like your selection. The real issue is
did the crowd that was surveyed like your selection. Let's check.
First, we got to the bottom row and reveal the CY$250 response...

(ding)
Doug: A tie between Mouse Ears and Mouse Hunt. The latter I
think was a movie title. Anyhoo, let's check the CY$500
answer...

(ding)
Doug: Mouse pad. Greg, I think you've just cleared the first
hurdle to CY$50-thou. Earl, slide that last one, please!
