Doug: James, I'll hit the magic button and reveal two questions.

Doug: Recently (July 11, 2000 actually), Brett Somers turned 73.  
As a surprise birthday gift to her, Charles Nelson Reilly

Doug:  Well, Jim didn't put his answer in the slot. James, 
we still turn to you for your answer.  Let's see if you can
rack up 500. Recently (July 11th to be exact), Brett Somers

James: Well, she's 73, and people give dumb gifts...

Doug: (face starts to turn red) Umm, OK.  Uhhh, well, let's see if
we get any of... uh... whatever James said.  (audience laughs)

Charlie: I'm happy to be back, Doug.  Love what you've done with the set.

Doug: Ah, well thanks.  We all built it in an hour and a half
(audience laughs)  Anyhoo, how'd you fill in this blank?

Charlie: Well, age has caught up with Brett, I'm sure, when things tend 
to sag. And actually, Charles was given special instruction by the 
estate of Gene Rayburn, in memory of their days in Encino, to give
Brett, for her 73rd birthday, a

toughies.  Jim didn't have an answer for us, so we go to Ryan.

Ryan: You said it was a surprise gift, so I said he gave her a...

Doug: Lovely thought, but no match.  No one's come to my answer yet.
Deano, what did Chuck give Brett for her 73rd?

Dean: CNR is such a nice guy he gave Brett a funky old SCARF.

Doug: Well, a match within the panel but none with James.  Last chance

Doug: No match.  Now, here's what I would've said.  Work with me on
this.  A celebrity synonymous with MG turns 73.  Now, even though
Brett or Charles wasn't a factor in what I'm about to suggest, I 
would've said the surprise gift would be the first episode of "Match
Game *'73*".  (audience boos)  Now that I think about it, wouldn't
have worked.  Her ex-hubby Jack Klugman's on that one.  Well, let's
