QMP I: Finals Round 3

Doug: We're back on Net Poker's Quarter Million Playoff. This is the final round of the tournament. Andy Silikovitz or Andy Geller will be crowned our grand champion.

Not only does the tourney champ win a quarter million in cyber-cash, he also wins a quarter million in merchandise. And the quarter million in merchandise is represented by -- what, Rich?

Rich: For your driving enjoyment, IT'S A BRAND NEW FERRARI!

(new car music plays) (audience cheers) (video montage of Jess Harris driving around Tunica in the Ferrari plays)

Rich: The Ferrari 612 Scaglietti is the first 12-cylinder prancing horse to feature all-aluminum construction. It comes with a 540-horsepower, V12 engine. Among the luxury amenities are handcrafted leather, automatic climate control, Bose digital CD audio system, and rain-sensing headlights. Andy and Andy, good luck.

Doug: And this is a good time to recap our scores...

A.SILIKOVITZ
A.GELLER

Doug: Thanks in part to a lucky turn of the blind cards in Round 2, Andy Geller leads by CY$1500.

This is where we double the stakes. Questions are now worth CY$1000 apiece, the blind-card question is worth CY$1500 and we pay CY$2500 to the player who makes the better hand.

In addition, if the judge determines a finalist has an insurmountable lead, the game will end right there and then -- even if we haven't completed the poker hands -- and that leading player's score will increase to CY$250,000.

(audience cheers)

Doug: For the runner-up, his score goes up to CY$25,000 and then he plays for CY$100,000 in Deuces Wild Poker. Andy Silikovitz cut the cards for this deciding round. Let's see the first two cards.

D.J.: Starting with the 10 of Hearts and the Jack of Clubs.

Doug: OK, here's the first CY$1000 of the final. Good luck, play carefully, here we go...

That's My Line is the title of a...
\ 1930's movie directed by Fatty Arbuckle
\ 1980's TV show hosted by Bob Eubanks
\ all of the above
\ none of the above

(Andy Geller buzzes in)

Doug: Andy Geller.

Andy Geller: I will say a.... 1930's movie directed by Fatty Arbuckle

Doug: That's right.

A.SILIKOVITZ

(audience applause)

Doug: TV show was hosted by Bob Barker. Which card?

Doug: ...and Andy Silikovitz gets the 10. Next two cards, please.

D.J.: The 9 of Diamonds and the 10 of Diamonds.

Doug: Two low cards with this next question.

When talking about the actor D.B. Sweeney,...
\ the "D." in his name stands for "Douglas"

(Andy Silikovitz buzzes in)

Doug: Andy Silikovitz.

Doug: That's right.

A.SILIKOVITZ
A.GELLER

(audience applause)

Doug: D.B. stands for Daniel Bernard. Which card?

Andy Silikovitz: The 10 of Diamonds.

Doug: And that gives you a pair...

ANDY SILIKOVITZ

ANDY GELLER

Doug: ...Andy Geller still has the overall lead. Two more cards.

D.J.: The Queen of Clubs and the 9 of Spades.

Doug: OK, TV trivia time...

The last name of NBC News' current Meet The Press moderator is spelled...
\ with two A's
\ with two L's
\ all of the above
\ none of the above

(Andy Silikovitz buzzes in)

Doug: Andy Silikovitz.

Andy Silikovitz: None of the above

Doug: Right.

A.GELLER

(audience applause)

Doug: No A's or L's in Tim Russert's last name. However, Chris Wallace of Fox News Sunday has two A's and L's in his surname. Which card?

Andy Silikovitz: The Queen

ANDY SILIKOVITZ

ANDY GELLER

Doug: All right. Five-hundred cyber-bucks -- that's difference between first and second right now. Each player is building on a pair. Next two cards.

(a few woos from the crowd)

D.J.: The Queen of Diamonds and the Queen of Spades.

Doug: Well -- we know Andy Silikovitz will have two pair going into the blind card question. But this question will determine who will have the lead going into that question.

The NBA's Bobcats...
\ play their home games in the state of North Carolina
\ are named for their owner, the founder of the USA Network
\ all of the above
\ none of the above

(Andy Geller buzzes in)

Doug: Andy Geller.

Andy Geller: I will say ... play their home games in the state of North Carolina.

Doug: That's right.

A.SILIKOVITZ
A.GELLER

(audience applause)

Doug: Team's owner is Robert Johnson, founder of BET. Andy Geller, your lead is back up to CY$1500. I know this is a silly question -- but which card do you want?

Andy Geller: I will take the Queen of Diamonds.

Doug: Well we knew...

ANDY SILIKOVITZ

ANDY GELLER

Doug: ...Andy Silikovitz would have two pair going into this.

Andy Silikovitz: I have one card of every suit going into the blind card question.

(light laughter from the crowd)

Doug: Why, yes, you do. Now, let me check with the judge. If Andy Geller scores on the blind card question, he puts the game out of reach and automatically wins. Correct?

Judge Von Erik: Yes he will.

Doug: So that means Andy Silikovitz will have to score on the blind card question to tie the game -- and then the player with the better hand will win the tournament and the CY$250,000.

May we have the blind cards, please?

Doug: OK, this question is worth CY$1500. Again, it's worth an automatic win for Andy Geller and tie score pending the high hand for Andy Silikovitz.

Nobel Prizes are awarded in categories such as "Peace" and...
\ "Literature"
\ "Chemistry"
\ all of the above
\ none of the above
