D.J.: The Poker Run. Just part of the excitement of The *New* Net
Poker. Coming after the Mega Playoff -- right here on VBS.

======================================================================

Doug: Welcome back to the Bonus Island Resort and Casino in Gulfport, Mississippi. Robert McBride had to sweat out a tie-breaker to reach this moment. You already have CY$20,000 to the good. Now, here's a chance to add much more. Here's how.

Doug: As you know, we've randomly hidden ten outlaws. One outlaw in the top row, two in the second, three in the third, four in the bottom row. You pick a number from each row -- and each time you avoid the outlaws, you win a deuce for your hand. The more wild deuces you have, the better odds at winning CY$40,000 for a royal flush.

Even better, if you can avoid all the outlaws and win all four deuces, you win our special outlaw's jackpot prize of CY$100,000.

(audience cheers)

Doug: Hit the jackpot here -- and your total winnings will exceed CY$330,000. So, let's start at the top row. One outlaw to avoid.

Robert: Since I feel you're the #1 netgame host, let's go with #1.

Doug: I appreciate the kind words. Now I *really* hope there's no outlaw at 1.

(dings; audience applause)

Doug: And it's a good start.

Doug: One down, three deuces to go. Next row has two outlaws to avoid and you're playing for the Deuce of Hearts.

Robert: Lucky #7, please.

Doug: Let's hope that 7 is lucky.

(outlaw says "YEEEEE-hawwww!") (audience groans)

Doug: Well, OK, the 100-grand's out of the picture here. Let's try to improve the chances at CY$40,000. Fifty-fifty time on the third row. Going for the Deuce of Clubs here.

Robert: The number of years in school/college I've been in my life, #17.

Doug: It's only 17 -- but is it a good number or does it have another outlaw?

(dings; audience applause)

Doug: Good one!

Doug: All right, Robert, last row's always the toughest to win a deuce. Four outlaws to avoid and a chance at three total wild deuces.

Robert: 24.

Doug: Number 24. Will he have three deuces to play with?

(outlaw says "YEEEEE-hawwww!") (audience groans)

Doug: No he won't. OK, before we go further, let's see where the other outlaws were.

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: All right. Now, as always, we had you cut a deck of cards in the event you had to build a poker hand.

Doug: And the first two cards from the top of that deck have just come down the chute. You'll choose one of these cards and we'll discard the other. We'll then repeat the process two more times.

When you have all five spots filled, I hope the natural cards are higher than a 9 and all of the same suit. That would give you a royal flush, which for the duration of the tournament, is worth...

Doug: ...*forty grand*. (ooohs and ahhhs from the crowd) During this Mega Playoff, all the values in Deuces Wild Poker are doubled. So, Robert, good luck and let's start off by picking the left or right card.

Robert: Left

Doug: Left it is. Deej, let's see something good.

D.J.: Great start. Jack of Diamonds.

(scattered cheers)

Doug: All right. That defines the mission.

Doug: You're looking for more diamonds higher than a 9. Let's bring in the next two cards...

Doug: ...and hope a diamond is among this pair.

Robert: Right.

Doug: The right card -- let's hope that's the right choice.

D.J.: Oh, 10 of Spades.

(audience groans)

Doug: Oy, going down the food chain in a hurry.

Doug: Best you can do is four of a kind for CY$4000.

Doug: Let's hope a Jack or 10 is in this last pair. Left or right.

Robert: Let's try right again.

Doug: The right again. Possible CY$4000 here. Deej, show us a Jack or 10.

D.J.: Got my fingers crossed for ya, honey.

D.J.: There's your 10! (audience applause)

Doug: All right. As D.J. places your last card on the board, let's crunch the numbers. You won CY$4000 here plus, of course, CY$20,000 earlier in the game. We add that to the tournament score that got you here in the tournament -- and your grand total is...

(audience cheers) (smooth jazz theme plays)

Doug: CY$236,350. And we'll see you later for the championship show. As for next time, Josh Warren, our third seed, plays against the second seed and the only player who was part of our first championship tournament, Andy Silikovitz.

See who takes that big step toward a guaranteed payoff of CY$1,000,000 -- here on the Net Poker Mega Playoff. Until then, make it a great day, keep the faith -- and treasure your loved ones.

(audience cheers)
