Game 5 Deuces Wild Deluxe

Doug: Welcome back to Net Poker Live! -- celebrating the grand reopening of the Bonus Island Resort and Casino in Gulfport, Mississippi. The neighborhoods continue to recover from Hurricane Katrina. We've got a long way to go -- but it's always great to hear of victories. Speaking of victories, Jay Lewis just won our game and has qualified to play for CY$2,000,000. Ready?

Jay: yessir

Doug: Then let's get our board ready.

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: Jay, behind these numbers are ten outlaws. There's one in the first row, two in the second, three in the third and four on the bottom row. Behind the remaining 14 spaces are Deuces of Spades. Now, before you can win the two million, we start you off with two *hundred*.

(ding)

Doug: In a moment, you'll pick one number from each row. Each time you draw a Deuce, we add a zero to the scoreboard. Find four Deuces and we'll add four total zeroes to the board -- meaning you win the CY$2,000,000. (audience cheers) Win the grand prize and you'll also close this joint just as fast as Mr. Mann opened it.

(audience laughs) (Harry sneering again)

Doug: Only kidding. So, let's start at the top row. One outlaw to avoid. Pick a number between 1 and 6.

Jay: 2

Doug: Number 2. Show us what's behind 2.

(bing) (audience applause)

Doug: Stands to reason. A 2 behind 2. Move Jay up to CY$2000.

(ding)

Doug: Next stop -- CY$20,000. Two outlaws to avoid on the second row. Pick a number between 7 and 12.

Jay: One of my personal favorites, Lucky $even

Doug: Ah, those were the days. Remember 'em well. Let's see if 7's lucky for Mr. NPiR.

(bing) (audience applause)

Doug: It is. You're up to CY$20,000.

(ding)

Doug: Now the cyber-money's getting serious. 200-grand. Fifty-fifty shot. Three outlaws to avoid. Pick a number between 13 and 18.

Jay: 13

Doug: If 13's lucky here, we go for two million on the bottom row. Let's see 13.

(outlaw says "YEEEEE-hawwww!") (audience groans)

Doug: Oh, the outlaw. Well, Jay, you can still win CY$200,000. (Harry smirks) Settle down, Harry. Four outlaws on the last row to avoid. Draw the Deuce and you win CY$200,000.

Jay: 21

Doug: A popular game here at the Bonus Island with D.J. Let's see if hitting 21 pays 200-grand.

(bing) (audience cheers)

Doug: Yes! CY$200,000.

(ding)

Doug: Let's reveal the rest of board and see where everything was.

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: OK, Jay... uh, where do you think you're going? You're not done yet.

Jay: No?

Doug: You can still win CY$2,000,000. But there's a big gamble involved if you do. Let's set Jay up for the final chance at two million.

(FF reveal sfx)

Doug: Jay, behind one of these numbers is the Deuce of Spades. The other five have outlaws. Here's the situation. You may stop right now and take home a grand total of CY$203,400 -- or you may risk CY$200,000 for a one in six shot at the two million.

If you find the Deuce, the two million's yours. Find an outlaw and not only will you not win the two million, you'll lose CY$200,000. The CY$3400 you won in the main game is safe.

So what do you want to do. Stop and keep your winnings -- or try and turn 200-grand into two million?

Jay: Audience? What do you think?

(audience says "Go! Go!")

Jay: You know Doug, I'm reminded of a saying from one of our great philosophers...

Doug: Yes?

Jay: Are you nutso?! (audience laughs)

Doug: LOL! So you're stopping here?

Jay: Yes, I don't want to risk the money

(audience applause)

Doug:Fair enough.

Jay: Can I change my mind?

Doug: Too late to turn back now. *But* if you went for it, which number would you have picked?

Jay: The 2

Doug: #2. What was lurking behind #2?

(outlaw says "YEEEEE-hawwww!") (audience cheers)

Doug: Good thing you didn't go for it on the 2. Where was the 2 of Spades here?

(bing)

Doug: Right next door -- #1. Jay, it's not often we play Net Poker Live! -- but you have won the most out of anyone who's ever played the live game.

Doug: CY$203,400. (audience cheers) And you know, you're always welcome at Studio 63 for our regular Net Poker game. (smooth jazz theme plays) We're gonna play more Net Poker Live! with two more players after this. Stay with us. (audience cheers)
