Mark Sinsabaugh: (one of this game's contestants) Wrong you are
Steve Michaels: (Mark's opponent) I'll take door number three!
Doug: But seriously folks. It's another game of Net Poker Live! Brisk round of applause for Mark Sinsabaugh and Steve Michaels. (audience cheers) Mark, you've played with us before But for those who weren't with us in your earlier appearance, tell Mr. and Mrs. Internet about yourself.
Mark: Well, I've been offline for a while, but I'm back...in between jobs at the moment, but I'm using some of the free time to work on some new and existing internet projects
Doug: Ah, care to tell us about one project?
Mark: Well, I've started to work on some research for one of my roadgeek sites
Doug: Ah, roadgeekery. I tried that once. Drove from here, was on the road for several hours and somehow ended up in Phoenix.
Mark:Took the wrong turn at Alberquerque?
Doug: Sure did. Anyway, glad to see you back Mark. And Steve, welcome aboard. Steve's the host with the most on the fun game Net Percentages.
Steve: the most what?
Doug: The most... uh... percentage signs per ep. :) (audience laughs) When you're not polling audiences, tell us what you do?
Steve: Well, Doug, I'll be 23 on thursday, i enjoy watching baseball, wrestling, and playing video games, i live with my parents, and, to all the nice people out there...oh yeah...i'm single ;-)
Doug: Ah, well happy early b-day.
Steve: Why thank you
Doug: Hopefully we can get you some early b-day presents.
Steve: that would be nice
Doug: Mark and Steve, you both have seen how we play. So, let's dive right into the first round of 5-Card Poker. Mark won the right to cut the cards before we started. And the first two cards of the round are coming down the chute next to Dirty Harry.
Doug: Two face cards, a Jack of Spades and the King of Diamonds. First toss-up question of this new game is a comin' up...

Doug: That's right. (audience applause) Postage rates rose to four cents in '58. And imagine this, when they got to L.A., they thought about calling themselve the Los Angeles Dodgers of Los Angeles. (audience laughs) Mark, you have the first 10 points of the round -- and the choice of card.
Mark: I'll take the king
MARK
STEVE
Doug: OK, Mark's got the cowboy, Steve has the knave and we have two more cards coming down the chute... right... about...

Steve: I thought it was none, too ... well hey!
Doug: And, hey, we've got a tie score at 10. Which card, Steve?
Steve: i'll take the jack, keep him from...flushing
MARK
STEVE
Doug: Um, word of advice, Steve, never keep a Mets fan away from Flushing. (light laughter from the crowd) Next cards...
Doug: Oh, joy! Two nines. (Dirty Harry smirks) Like this affects you! (audience laughs) Anyway, 9 of Diamonds and 9 of Clubs. But, 10 important points up for grabs as well.

Mark: all
Doug: Right! (audience applause) Mark leads 20-10. BTW, our crack staff notes that McDonald's had a "Who Shot The Nuggets?" TV spot ready to go... (audience laughs) ...but it was pulled at the last minute. Take that with a grain of salt as I ask, "Which 9, Mark?"
Mark: I'll take the diamond
MARK
STEVE
Doug: Too bad Net Poker doesn't recognize an all red hand. :-)
Mark: darn, I tried
Doug: Anyhoo, we move on with two more cards...

Doug: Which card, Steve?
Steve: I'll take the nine
Doug: And it appears it's all academic from here...
MARK
STEVE
Doug: ...as you can see, Steve has two pair. Mark can only have one pair at best. So, Steve will get an extra 25 points for the high hand. But, I tell ya what. We'll play for a chance at bonus cyber-cash with this question. Let's go ahead and bring in the final two cards for the round...
Doug: ...now, the player who scores on this wins 15 superfluous points and a chance at CY$1000. The question...

Steve: all?
Mark: ack (shakes head)
Doug: Right. (audience applause) Now, Steve, for CY$1000, I want you to go ahead and pick a card and I'll ask you to make a prediction about that card.
Steve: since i'm left-handed, i'll take the left one
Doug: OK, is the left card a face card or not?
Steve: i'll say yes
Doug: You say "yes", it will be a face card. OK, let's see if that's a King, Queen or Jack.
Doug: No, it's an Ace. No CY$1000 for you -- but you still win the round.

(winning bells; audience applause)
Doug: Just to make it all official, Harry will finish off both poker hands and as we do...
MARK
STEVE
Doug: ...we find out Steve gave Mark the Ace of Hearts. Steve's two pair beats Mark's pair of Aces. Now, we go to the European Roulette wheel. Harry's going to spin it. Remember, there's no double zero -- just the numbers 0-36. Steve, if he lands on 0, you win CY$5000. Otherwise it's CY$100 times the number the ball lands on. Come on, Harry, spin a big number.
30 l Doug: I'd say that's a big one -- 30 red.
Steve: i was actually hoping for a really little number, but ok ... good enough :-)
MARK STEVE ![]()

Doug: I know you wanted that goose egg. Maybe Harry will be nice enough and spin a CY$5000 green number in the next round.
(Dirty Harry gives Doug a dirty look)
Doug: Then again, maybe not. (audience laughs) We'll be back for Round 2 of Net Poker Live! after this.
