Game 1 Round 1The following took place in an AOLIM chat room October 5, 2004. Some of the text of the chat's transcript, including at least one question on which no one scored, was edited. But actual gameplay is not affected and did not change.)

Doug: Chris, you've played our regular Net Poker game. For those who are seeing you for the first time, tell us a little about yourself, please.
(David lights a cigar)
Chris: I'm 33, and I live in Port St. Lucie, FL...home of the 2004 Major Hurricane Convention.
Doug: Oh, mercy. Well, I hope Florida's still recovering from all those storms. It's absolutely unreal.
Chris: I host "Trivia On Tap"...which will have its Season 1 Grand Championship by year's end.
Doug: Ah, we can't wait for that. Fun game indeed. David, welcome to our show, tell us about yourself -- and are you smoking that cigar for good luck? :-)
David: No i'm smoking it cause I want to be Chris Moneymaker :-P
Doug: Ah, I see. Last year's big World Series of Poker winner.
David: I'm David Hammond, 24, work for The Welch News, host several netgames both live and e-mail -- including Dragon! The All New Net Tic Tac Dough and Yahoo! Price is Right
Doug: YPiR. Sounds like fun. Need an announcer? (audience laughs)
David: No, but i'll let you know if I ever need a replacement
(Chris puts on Greg "Fossilman" Raymer glasses)
Doug: (chuckles) Thanks. Players, welcome aboard. We can't play Net Poker Live! without a dealer. So, please, let's have a warm welcome for the Bonus Island's senior dealer. He's always happy when other players lose. Here's Dirty Harry!
(DH walks out to a chorus of boos)
Chris: What?! No D.J.?!?!?
David: WE WANT d.j!

Doug: I know, you want to see Deej. She's away in Louisiana. You might remember Dirty Harry from that short-lived train wreck -- $hopper's Casino. Anyway, gents, here's how we play. We'll play two rounds of 5 Card Poker followed by a 3 Card Poker tie-breaker round if necessary. The first player to win two rounds wins the game and a chance to play Dirty Harry's Video Challenge worth up to CY$100,000! (audience cheers) So, if ya'll are ready, Dirty Harry will show us the first two cards.
(cards come down the chute as Dirty Harry looks on)
Doug: OK, we're starting with the 10 of Diamonds and the 9 of Diamonds. Remember, just like in 5 Card Poker of normal Net Poker, questions are worth 10 points each. Then after you each get 4 cards we play a 15-point "blind card" question. High hand wins 25 points. Here's the first question...

Doug: Even though there's no hope for a flush, David has Ace high, Chris has a pair of 10s. With the tie score at 20, it's now time for the 15-point blind card question.
Doug: Now, if you chime in with the right answer, you get the points and the right to select the left or right card. Better hand gets 25. So, as Jim Perry would say, control is most important. The question...

(winning bells; audience cheers)
Doug: Congrats, David. Now, Dirty Harry is going to spin the roulette wheel. We're using a European Roulette wheel -- so there's no "double zero" space -- just the numbers 1 through 36 and a green 0 space. If the ball lands on any space but the 0, we multiply the number spun by CY$100. But, if Dirty Harry spins a 0, you win CY$5000 -- much to the chagrin of our dealer. Dirty Harry, give it a spin.
(DH spins the wheel)
26 l Doug: 26 Black -- you've just won CY$2600.
