Doug: Now, here's where the new elements of The New Net Poker kick in. It *used* to be the round would end right here. Not anymore. From now on, we play to a defined goal -- and we get to that defined goal with the help of something we call -- Poker Run.
|
Doug: Make sure you wear a helmet for protection. (audience laughs) Now, in a three-player Poker Run, our contestants will race to collect letters in the word "POKER". Before the run even starts, our top two players get a head start.

Doug: Because Todd just zoomed into the lead, we'll give him two letters in "POKER". Andy was in second position -- giving him the first letter in "POKER". Josh will be starting this Poker Run from scratch. But anything can happen -- and here's how Poker Run works.
We'll play questions from our General Knowledge Multiple Choice theme. If a player chimes in and picks the right answer, he scores a letter. However, if a player buzzes in and picks a wrong answer, we take one letter away and move on to the next question. If a player misses and has no letters, there's no penalty.
We'll keep going until someone has all five letters. That player wins the round -- and has a chance to win CY$7500 immediately thereafter.
